After years on end in the Kop, Papa Damski and I finally decided to move out of the way of those bloody poles blockin't view, and move across the way the Westfield corner for a season to see what it's like. We did this totally blind as we've never sat in that stand. So can someone give me an idea of the view we'll be getting? Our seats are around 135-140, I'm guessing thats on one of the sides? I'm assuming virtually every seat in that part of the ground is a winner, but it would be nice to know.

You'll be able to see your old seats and when it's sunny you can see everyone on the Kop hold their hands up to cover their eyes. WC/UT is a great view, god knows why we gave it to the away fans for years...

Sat up there several times, the view is good. Lots of steps to climb up!

I do feel like i'm sat slightly sideways in Westfield stand.

You can even get a drink at half time if you leave at the half time whistle (if you're near the exit).

People do tend to have a sly fag in the bogs, which isn't great if you don't like smoke as it's all enclosed. Unlike the outdoor areas on the Kop / South Stand, where it doesn't bother anyone

From memory, the seat numbering starts from John St, so 135-140 will be towards the Westfield Corner.

You're likely to meet a better class of supporter up there, very recently I bumped into Bert, but as he moved there to get away from riff raff, he may be on the move again :-)

Definitely the best view in the ground.

Indeed

...although, from time to time, we still have Blades suggesting that we should allocate it back to the occasional away club who may be able to sell more tickets than they are allowed on the lower tier, unless and until we have sold out all the poor seats and restricted view tickets on the Kop. Bizarre.

Let's have the best seats in the house kept exclusively for Blades fans.

Great view and the atmosphere is improving every year.

I sat up there for a one off game on Boxing Day and this was my view (can’t remember which seat it was exactly mind).

Really enjoyed it up there, great view and managed a drink at half time.

Helps that we won 3-0 too :D

It's brilliant, I've taken my lad up there a few times, easy to get in and out after the game, easy to get a drink, bogs are better, no sun in your eyes, leg room, properly racked so you don't have to worry about the 6ft 3 in guy in front blocking your view, why anyone goes on the Kop is beyond me.

Got an ST for me and my 2 sons up in the Westfield last year and we love it....brilliant view and the atmosphere is getting better all the time.

My season ticket is in there, I don't know if it helps but the view is so good that my working class guilt kicked in a few times last season. (Its not for the likes of me)

My view from the corner :D

sat there mostly for last 2 seasons,

cracking view and as others said atmosphere is getting better , don't think you will regret the move

Best view in the ground in my opinion, I've sat on every stand and this is our choice for every game I can get to now.

I sincerely hope you're all correct about the atmosphere getting better.
I'm usually on the kop and on the few occasions I've been on the BLUT, the atmosphere was really poor.

Bert and the Lincoln Blades are now settled up in the Bramall Lane Corner. It's a better class of supporter. They were originally further round, a couple of rows behind raul.
The riff-raff were 4 or 5 rows behind. They were absolute uncouth scum, Bert even spotted one of them eating a Pukka Pie one half time.

Only ever been up there for the Kell Brook fight last year, but the view (of the whole stadium) was spectacular. I'm staying on the kop for now, but if I ever do move it'll be to there.

Oh what a view. Wish they’d get shut of that carbuncle of a corner stand opposite though.

I had a season ticket on there last season, cracking view, you'll not be disappointed. You can also so move on a game by game basis to BLUT at no extra cost if you have any issues with your seat on the corner section.

There’ll be no poles blockin’t view but there may be some Chinese. Mate of mine had a half season ticket in there last season. He’s fluent in Mandarin now.

BLUT post again, great view but mostly chinese students who sit there and there is zero noise

sat on there for a few years towards the south stand. excellent view. like everywhere in the ground, atmosphere isn't bad if it's a decent game and something is riding on it, shit if not.

I’ve got a season ticket in the Westfield corner and I wouldnt tar it with the same label as BLUT.

Westfield’s atmosphere has improved no end over the last 2 years with far more ST holders and members/ regulars sitting in the same seats every game now, and the singing sort of blends in with south stand G and H.

The BLUT still seems pretty quiet in contrast. I suspect it’s because the support there is current far more transient. It’s harder to get up and get a song going amongst strangers...unless you’re off your head. ;)

Its the only stand that is regularly referred to by its sponsor's name. No one calls it the Bramall Lane Corner.

It’s cheap
