I trust this isn't another 'stalling tactic', one designed to hint to CW that it'll be sorted.
I wouldn't go so far as to say that both parties (owners) would deliberately set out to have meaningless talks but in ownership/custody battles - both business and personal - such matters are rarely sorted out quickly. Seems like a 0-0 draw to me and CW is likely to be not much further forward after the meeting.
The best that can be hoped for I sense is an agreement on an interim way forward (plans/budget) in order to keep the manager 'happier (or should that be 'more appy than he was?'). Me thinks CW would see through that and that he will still have strong concerns. Whether it is enough to keep him here in the short term I'll consult Mystic Meg.
