Goal keeper from hull city to sign for us anyone else heard this rumour ?

Born in Sheffield according to his wiki, so there's possibly some link to the club.

I can see Howard and Coyne being released in the next few days. Plus how long do we think we'll hang on to George (the answer is not very long) so there could be something in this.

No idea whether he is any good, has been 5th choice at times for Dull.

Howard has a year left on his contract, so if he exits someone will have to buy him, or we pay him up. I'd keep him as backup for the final year!

I'd let young Willis replace Coyne as third choice. Money is better spent elsewhere in the side!

I can see George junior being first choice, he's certainly a good prospect.

I didn't realise Howard had another year, in which case why are we after another keeper.

As you say plenty of other posts to fill before keepers

Southend Keeper, 27, player of the season and out of contract next month.

Worth a punt for next season? Cheap and good.

Which of Blackman, Moore and Long is he better than?

He played regularly for Hibs for two seasons after we were relegated and unless he has improved drastically since then it is an absolute no from me. Strong shot stopper, but an absolute flapper at set pieces and corners.

He was out of his depth in the Scottish Championship at times.

Blackman doesn't play for us so not exactly relevant.

We were able to get a keeper of his calibre this season, so given that you're even posting this then he's worse than Blackman and likely no better than what we've already got, so I'm out

Sounds like the exact type of keeper we have been playing for the last 6years, gerrimin, he'll fit right in!

Moore was L1 keeper of the season when we were in it.
Long just been voted Wimbledon's POTY.

We really don't need another League One keeper, we need a ready made championship keeper.
Blackman would do nicely but I can't see it.

He might be a Wednesday fan as well. I'm not 100%, but I think I used to play football with his brother.

He used to play football with me on Lodge Lane Park, Aston, regularly. He also went to Aston Comp but was a few years below me. He would rarely go in goal surprisingly .He used to live in one of the houses just through the jitty at the side of the slide. He was quite a scrawny ginger haired youth - now he's massive.A big Rotherham fan who hated Wednesday with a passion. He came through Rotherham's academy, and was sold for a substantial amount of money at the time of their financial meltdown: https://rotherham.vitalfootball.co.uk/rufc-oxley-sale-could-help/
According to wikipedia, £150,000 to Premier League Hull which was decent money at the time. He might be interested for location purposes if nothing else.I remember him letting in a screamer of a freekick at the Lane from Jose Baxter. Here it is:

Did he have an older brother who also played in net?

*Edit: Just worked out age gap, if related probably wouldn't be brothers. :)

Don't think so.He had a tall sister with long ginger hair. How old was the brother? He did knock about with a kid, Batesy, who fancied himself as a bit of a goalkeeper if I remember rightly.

He'd be mid 40's. Big ginger haired lad, from the same neck of the woods. Had been on the books of wednesday on some basis as a teenager.

To be honest the only time I saw him was when a bunch of lads called for him, or were playing football on the park (most days). The only people I noticed were mum, dad and sister.I remember him telling me he played for Rotherham, but I thought nothing of it for years until I noticed he'd been sold by Rotherham. The "brother" never played football to my recollection, although we regularly had big games and people would join in etc.
Like I said he rarely played in goal. I would have been very surprised if someone would've told me he'd make it as a professional footballer back then.. His outfield skills were pretty average among the regular bunch. When he said I play for Rotherham, I though nowt of it.

Must be substantially better than Moore and I don’t think he is.
