Warnock

He's Cardiff's manager. That's his style. So what?

Style is very different to class. In OBN’s case the former is both inimitable and unpleasant. He has none of the latter.

He is indeed Cardiff’s Manager. That’s just about far enough away for me. Why don’t we just leave him there?

Warnock has a good record but I really don't give a shit about him anymore as I'm sure he's not given a 2nd thought about the blades since he left us?.
Good riddance to the big nosed twat.

Being a fan of Warnock, what I like best about him is the way he scores a bullseye on the raw nerve of his detractors and compels them to write rubbish like this.

Being a Sheffield United fan, I take comfort from the fact that my club will live longer than yours.

We can argue and debate all day about him but no-one will convince me he's a proper Blade.

Praise his achievements all you want but watching someone a few feet away take smug delight in our demise is not the behaviour of a real Blade, not matter how much people pretend otherwise.

Personally I don't particularly like his lack of class but admire his ability to do things like he's done this season.

I also fully expect a managerial team of him, Blackwell and Jepson to either struggle badly or not make the end of next season. Fair play to them if they prove me wrong.

Totally agree.

I don't dislike old Botox face, done a hell of a job with Cardiff and good on him.

I do hope he takes over at Wednesday and fulfils his promise

I can honestly say that his achievements at getting teams promoted, and this season has to be one of the best, are very good. I recognise this. However my feelings about him are based solely on his actions here. He's a cunt.

But does this mean Neil has the record of most promotions of an ELF Manager ? I think this is why he was so overjoyed today ....& who can blame the lad it must be the achievement of a lifetime. He was from a humble Sheffield family beginnings his Mum died when he was a child. He has had to fight for everything he ever achieved so I'm pleased for him.

I lost both my parents quite young and haven't had anything given me. I've never acted like the worst side of Warnock ever.

Neil Warnock said:
"I've seen the fans on the pitch, a full house, the owners and everyone together, it's got to be the best ever job I've done in my life."
Massive Blade? Pull the other one...

You can hero-worship a very limited manager, big on mouth as well as nose, as much as you want. The facts show him to be out of his depth at the top level. He doesn’t understand what is required to survive there. In a phrase, proper football. It’s beyond him, him.

Luton Shelton. Luton Fucking Shelton.

How many more failures do you need?

I don’t think I’ve hero-worshipped anyone in football since I stopped my Match magazine subscription in the late 90s.

Genuinely, how many points would you have expected from that team in 2006/07? We were relegated on goal difference – at the start of the season we weren’t even expected to be in with a chance of staying up come the final day. However you want to dress up Warnock as “out of his depth”, much like this season we still exceeded expectations. There was no Derby-esque, Sunderland-esque embarrassment. We managed to get within a goal of staying up with an XI where only one player would have interested any of the teams that stayed up. Much like this season we were also in a loftier position than expected until an injury to our key player, and struggled to replace him.

Of the players we had, I’d suggest our best XI available was:
Kenny, Geary, Armstrong, Morgan, Jagielka, Gillespie, Tonge, Montgomery, Quinn, Stead, Hulse.

That’s hardly a team you’d bet on survival with. The fact we got 38 points with that is an achievement that is grossly underrated due to the manner of how the season ended.

We were safe at one point. He wasted money in January and then concentrated on a new contract spending more time whining to the press than he did with the players.

Warnocks memories of the Pompey interviews change when it suits. Mandaric has never changed his stance. He was never offered the job.

He didn't take it because it was agreed between Warnock and Mandaric that it was untenable as the Wednesday fans wouldn't take to him - and understandably so. It doesn't mean Warnock wouldn't have took it, he spoke fondly of Wednesday and how he would like to turn them around as they were a massive club. He also said they'll forget I'm a United fan when I start winning games. I don't respect him for that because he always said he is a massive Blade. Just because he didn't take it doesn't change what he actualy wanted, or expressed to the press.

He also almost left during the promotion season for Portsmouth who were in the bottom three of the PL and that had a negative effect on our results during the time he wouldn't rule it out and he actually went for an interview with them. Again it was Mandaric who wanted him.

He also blamed the referee for every bad performance and never took personal responsibility. I could say more but I think I've explained why I do't respect him. If you find it bizarre then ask others on here what they think too.
He also said it would be brilliant to manage the pigs so he could get them relegated down all the league's into the conference. Apparently Megson took offence ha ha

We were safe at one point – yep, following the results he was able to get despite being woefully out of his depth apparently.

He wasted money in January – some undoubtedly, though half of his January signings were of some use (Kilgallon and Stead). That’s probably a ratio comparable to this season tbh.

He concentrated on a new contract spending more time whining to the press than he did with the players – he gave one interview before the last game where he was asked about the contract. It’s like saying Wilder has spent the last few weeks concentrating on the ownership....

Well, not exactly a fabulous JTW this year was it? I don't get all the vitriol, it is not necessary, he did a good job for us, but we went down! Its football!

He has exceeded expectations this season with a side hardly brimming with quality, I say well done! But without serious money I think they are coming back down. Lets just hope & pray that we are not playing them in the 19-20 season for the right reason!

Have a lovely summer.

Been watching them far longer than you mate and the thins have been more frequent than the thicks in my time than since you've been going.

Sounds pretty recent that if you substitute "safe" with "top of the championship".

We aren't talking about Wilder or this season. He spent three million "for the future" presumably he thought we were safe - I mean, what other reason could there have been for signing them? . He didn't give just one interview, but the interview you refer to was I believe published on the morning of the game probably done the day before. Shows where his mindset was.

Really baffles me how everyone despises warnock on here the man is a blades legend. So what hes a wanker thats what makes him warnock.

Should warnock come to the lane and go oh im a blade hes 3 points no he shouldnt

Though NW loved the club when he was here.

Possibly the vile abuse from the shit faced tosser Sean Bean in front of his family after our relegation from the Prem soured things ?

What should NW say about his Cardiff squad, they were a great bunch of players but nowhere as good as his Blades squad ?

I think some armchair experts are best left in charge of their armchairs.
Areight Neil?
Farm going ok?
Tractor working?

From what I know of you, you are a credit to them and I'm sorry you had to go through losing your parents young.
