up in north yorkshire for the weekend and a guy from Sunderland who saw me and my lads in blades tops has just asked what the manager is like. He claims to be in the know and says that Wilder is resigning after the game tomorrow and has already done the deal to move to Sunderland. He was very sure of himself and apologised as he walked off. Hope that’s bolx

Or maybe he's on a wind up? I guess we will see soon enough.

I'm torn between wanting to write 'Oh great another thread on this subject' and 'GLTTL'..........

If thats true then Wilder would clearly have been tapped up by Sunderland who have never asked for permission to speak to him. Wilder would have resigned so Sunderland avoid paying compo that they would be legally obliged to pay.

So that would be two more lawsuits on the go.

if he did resign wouldn't premier league clubs go after him?

Well I can definately say I saw him driving past the bottom of Dore Road on Abbeydale road south this morning as I drove to do my shopping, but he was heading in a southerly direction towards Owler bar....

IF this is true then he's a bit of a hypocrite, he says he's ambitious and wants to go forward yet he might be prepared to go down a division to L1. I can see it from his point of view about the board but at the end of the day there is no guarantee it will work out at Sunderland the grass isn't always greener, they're new owners aren't they so no one knows what they're going to be like from the beginning. Apparently he's good friends with the potential new owner but again that still doesn't mean to say everything will run smooth between manager and board level.

If he hasn't got the mental strength to tough it out here for a while when enduring a bit of adversity then maybe we're better off without him. At a medium to big sized football club like ours things will never be rosy all of the time, you go through ups and downs as it's part and parcel of football and life in general.

Stewart Donald (worth 8 million) hasnt completed his takeover deal to replace Ellis Short (worth 1 billion) yet. If Wilder wants to go to Sunderland then he needs his head tested!

Exactly, and the EFL probably won't ratify their takeover until after the Bank Holiday at least so if CW were to resign after tomorrow's game it would be a little premature!

I think he will go but I don’t think anything has been done yet. More than likely a loaf of bollocks that will end up being true under different circumstances in 6-8 weeks.

Well if he is going he better not fucking resign. They can pay us the compensation for him.

What a load of bollocks even if this was true how would this random Sunderland fan know anything about a topic which would be kept confidential in the Sunderland boardroom

My niece is a Sunderland season ticket holder and says that wilder is on a shortlist of possible candidates for the job?.
I've a feeling the mackems are putting 2+2 together and coming up with 60!!.
Par for the course for mackems though. Lol

Do they share that sort of information with Sunderland season ticket holders regularly?

She's quite possibly reading / hearing similar stuff to us, so you can understand her thinking that.
