Alan Biggs questions to the owners

When were they set? They are a useful bunch of Qs, transparency is what's needed here.

After a very successful first season back in the Championship a bit of unity and a shared set of aspirations is what's needed.
 
Has he asked these questions already, or is he going to ask them? Also, how do we know he is doing this? Has he made a statement of intent?
 
He sent them to the owners on Tuesday according to his twitter feed. Hoping to get a response to print in his Thursday / Friday column.

If true, what a shame the questions don't have the weight of us fans behind them. It's not too late Foxy .

I used to follow him on Twitter and often commented on posts related to Blades, Anyway, long and short of it, I unfollowed him and don't see his tweets, which is probably what the Blades owners do as well

It's about now and this summer. The actual negotiations take their own course. The club needs funding this summer for the benefit of both owners, particularly the one who takes control.
Put £5m in now and make allowance for it under the final settlement.
 
It’s best to let the season finish. As fans we want clarity but the only person who really needs it is CW.

They need to see CW next move and then have a statement from there. No point saying all rosy then CW leaving and then they both want to backtrack.
 

There is no way that Utd, or any company, would respond to such questions during ongoing negotiations and/or litigation apart perhaps from a token message from the External Comms/Media Dept saying they won't provide details.

I suspect Alan Biggs knows this but is trying to make a story out of the ownership status, as has James Shield in recent days - the possibility of CW leaving is a great angle for them!

It doesn't have to be a collective to ask the questions tho? Agreed there is more power in numbers.

From my perspective I am concerned about the situation. And it has been ramped up as a consequence of the manager making veiled threats in a press conference after a home defeat in the penultimate game of the season.

I'll put my tin helmet on and say that I think that was inappropriate and unprofessional. Much as I like how he tells it as he sees it.

I'm not sure what impact he was looking for and from a fans perspective I would like to know what's happening, but don't believe any of us can actually change the course of what is happening at board level.

Footballers should play football. Managers manage. Sitting on our hands is frustrating, but in the absence of any real information there is little else to do other than worry.

It's all about local profile and that means folowers and likes.

Wilder 'leaving' is a handy hook to put your hat on if you are a fading old hack that nobody listens to any more.
 
Well, at least he's doing something to try and get answers.... more than our entire fanbase put together.
 
Biggs may be a plonker , everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I am neutral about him.
But us Blades are quick to criticize the local media as being in the Club's pocket.
It's ironic then , that as soon as one of them asks the right questions , some on here want to vent their personal agendas.
Which of us has not got those very questions swirling around their own head just now ?
Too bad if the Club ignores them , but at least they've been asked.
We have delighted in taking the piss out of the Chansiri ownership at Swillsborough.
We have boasted of how sensibly run we have been , in contrast to that lot.
I'm afraid we look badly run just now.
Our owners are suing each other !
So you want the journos to do nothing ?
The very existence of our Club is threatened , never mind a few bob for this summer's signings.
In such circs , the media would be negligent if it didn't try to find some answers.
Or are you saying that our potential demise , after 129 years , is not of legitimate public interest ?
We genuinely could be the first big old club to implode under the pressure of ridiculous wages & fees.

He column goes to print on a Wednesday so, depending when he wrote to them on Tuesday, they had 24 hours to respond. Not exactly a 'stoney silence'

Do you really think so?

Sadly I'm sure he knows this legal process will have to run its due course and the only reason he's done this is for self publicity.

Most of us know that too, which is why we are not shoe-less in the car park as we speak.

Wilder played a vital part in the ownership resolution at Northampton. He has enough experience to know how much and when It's needed and he has more strength when he is successful with results.

I think he's trying to stir up noise from the fans. Risk-taking is part of a successful manager's armoury.

Nothing to lose for us in having a voice to in effect back him.

That's what Biggs is doing and who's to say Wilder hasn't asked him to?

I see what you are saying, and in an ideal world that would happen. But.........................

You'd have to assume that one of them is going to go (Prince or Kev). So, given that, if you were about to sell your house, would you spend more money on it, or would you let it be someone elses problem?

Also, lets say that £5m pot was in place now. To me a further hurdle in the way of any potential signings would be a) the boardroom uncertainty b) the uncertain (perceived or otherwise) position of the manager.

I think there's a lot to play out yet, we can only hope it's done sooner rather than later, and we can all move on one way or another.

Co-co . Even when companies go into administration the business continues.

This club has to give the manager tools to do the job and WILDER was saying to us amongst other audiences that he is worried, very worried.

The negotiations can go on for months. We need to improve the squad now. Our manager is trying to put pressure on the owners. Fans/ journalists don't have to wait silently while the ship pulls away from the harbour.

The sale of house is a good analogy and this is a divorce.

The house will fall down unless It's underpinned and the owners need to have the work done.

The sale price will be altogether better when the work is done. In fact the house will still be intact for the new owners.
