Wilder on the boardroom struggle

Hang about- Wilder knew he was working for two owners last summer. Nothing changed except 2 want to become 1.

Shit comments by Wilder and smacks of blaming others to mask our failings over last 20 weeks.

Yep it does make for a good bit of deflecting. Like why he keeps Stevens at left back and why some players he has signed have been completely frozen out of the squad.

Boardroom unrest doesn't help going forward but they don't pick the team or the players.

Not too bothered if he goes. Tactics been gash since they were found out in November. Needs a big improvement as it's been 8 wins out of 28 since then.

I would suggest something kicked off behind the scenes at or around the JTW, which lead to where we are now as a club.

Some are overacting on here! Understandably but I think Wilder just want this sorted but as for walking?! Nah, I don't think so. That's only my view and my view is no more important than anyone else's but I don't think he is set to walk. It needs sorting ASAP obviously and Wilder speaks his mind which we all love him for.

The Prince and McCabe won't want this going on for ages either. I guess in the meantime Wilder will have been given a budget to work with and he can only go with that, and its probably no higher than last summer, as we're in limbo at the minute.

Despite all the above I was pleased both West Brom and Southampton won today! Lets hope the Saints stay up - keep Hughes and West Brom finish well and appoint Moore! Those two jobs are undoubtedly a threat to us for approaches this summer, if they want a new man.

Total poppycock. CW has been consistent since it came out that there were issues at boardroom level, that he felt it needed to be sorted out quick. He's also said on a few occasions that he will say his piece on the matter at the end of the season. He's just done that.

He's done all he can with the money he's been given which is a pittance at championship level and he' ambitious enough to want to move onto the next level, with Utd hopefully, but he's not daft enough to hang about and get shafted by Utd's board if it starts to drag on. He needs backing with money, and now.

I'm not blind enough to not think CW has made some mistakes this season - he's not untouchable. But he's far far far in credit in my book and he' bright enough to learn from his own mistakes. He's a prized manager and Utd would be completely stupid to lose him if it's down to our own incompetence.

'They'....I presume you mean tactics and not SUFC. I can't help but come to the conclusion that you are either a pig on the wind up or plain stupid re not bothered if CW walks. Either is possible.

it's funny, there's been loads of comments on here recently about how we need to accept the mediocrity that has been served up recently (I paraphrase of course) because we're little old Sheffield United and haven't we done well to finish where we have?

Then Wilder comes out and says he's as fed up with it all as the rest of us. Top man.

Whilst I agree with Wilder (and the blokes been an absolute god send for the club), if he was considering moving on to bigger and better things, we haven’t half given him an excuse to play on!

Spot on. To be honest, it’s been clear for ages that CW is as fed up with our fkin useless owners as most fans - despite what some on here would like you to believe.

The worrying thing is that he may be of the opinion that neither of the current owners genuinely match his ambition.

"Things have got to change" says he's put his cards on the table publicly because he's not getting anything from either one of them.

Be nice to see a link to a post that says CW IS happy with our owners. Otherwise it's a far from "honest" claim.

If he is going I wish he'd hurry up and fuck off . The mind numbing tedium of whinging twats on here and their fuck witted speculation around when and why he go's makes the thought of a second spell under Adkins seem altogether appealing . At least then we'd have something tangible to fucking moan about .

Accept mediocrity?

Link to whoever said it?

Without investment this team will struggle next year, similar to Barnsley, if we do drop back again I doubt all of the 20,000 who went with us last time will stick around for another stint in league 1.
If we go to L1 I’m done couldn’t face another season in that league

Sounds to me like give me money I’ll stay.

He says he wants to continue here at the lane but needs reassurances over things like budget and ASAP.

Wilder stock is high if we offer him no budget he would be better off jumping ship on a purely professional point of a view.

If his budget is 5th lowest then anything above 5th bottom has to be considered a successful season because he has outperformed his budget.
How the fuck anyone cannot see that is beyond me.

Absolutely correct. Yet somehow, seemingly we have a fair few dimwits on here who can't recognise this simple fact and don't mind if CW walks. Some people I just don't get - and thankfully never will.
