Can't fool us, matey.I don't use the facilities but i enjoy sitting on the kop. A number of my mates sit on the south stand, but i don't want to sit there as they don't like me.

I really can't imagine it being any cheaper. It's still England, you know. We love being ripped off.

i've resigned myself to having to give up my seat and that would probably mean that i gave up going to the football as I don't really want to move my season ticket from the centre of the Kop to the flanks of the South Stand.
Err, anyway, What good are rail seats to dogs. Answer me that?
What TomJonesBlade said. He's more diplomatic.
Giving up on footballl just because you can’t have your exact seat.
That’s a new one to add to the list of excuses......can’t imagine your hearts really in it.
I quit going over the Summer break, then first match of the season thought I made a big sacrifice by going.
Still don’t like the seats and would prefer to stand.
However there’s a chance that once I’ve stood for a whole match I might want to return back to being seated again ha ha.
Haha! I'm even older than your dear dad, and love the idea of a safe lean. Myself and my lad (esteemed Forgeblade, he's less of a lad than he used to be) occupy space about 6 rows from the back of the kop. We stand, and like doing this, but we're the last row of "standers", and a lot of people sit. I'd feel safer with safe standing, as on the occasions it gets a bit riotous (it does sometimes), I do feel a bit wobbly without anything in front of me, even if beer has not been partaken. My daughter attended a match in Germany many years ago (Hannover rings a bell), and although much less of a footy person than her dad and brother, said how fantastic the safe standing was and how it contributed to a great atmosphere (as did the beer and sausages, which were apparently of a rather better quality and potency than the crap served up on our lovely kop!).Let's be honest, for those of a certain age like my dear dad, it's more likely to be 'safe leaning' than safe standing![]()
