Paul Coutts not his fault so will name Marvin Sordell, some say that our season was fooked when he broke his leg.

Ched Evans, some say that after his conviction and imprisonment our season was fooked up.

Tevez, some say it was him and his associates underhand dealings that fooked our Premiership place.

Phil Jagielka, some say it was not the above Argentinian but his deliberate handball and subsequent converted penalty that cost us our Premiership place.

I can think of another one but i just trumped so i have to stop typing and go and wipe my arse.

Anymore ?

Kevin Phillips winner in added time on the first day of the season at Brum in 2008 ended up costing us automatic promotion on the last day as without it we would have been level on points with 2nd place Brum with us having a better goal difference.

In the event we finished 3rd and lost to Burnley in the play off final.

Bogus logic.

Why single out Phillips? What about all the other players who scored against us that season?

Yes but Matthews, chickened out and nobody would take the responsibility.

Don being a responsible professional footballer took the responsibility.

I don't blame him for the miss - he was never a penalty taker even to save his life.

He was gutted for weeks after
He weren't the only bugger gutted for weeks :(

He had been offered a coaching role by Martin Peters and he would have been a fabulous addition to the coaching staff.

He spent many years coaching young Eire players and had great success

Obviously that all went out of the window.

Ainsworth is the immediate name that comes to mind.

Ebbrell, Cotterill, Shelton, Fahti all cost us in £££

Lee Baxter cost me years off my life watching that half

Hopkins, Waddle/Bright, Seaman, Simonson, Elliot cost me happiness

Hammond, Rush, Hull, Cullen et al cost me time I'll never get back

Hitler (not a player) - we'd have won the First Division Championship in 1939 / 40 if he'd not invaded Poland with a team built around the newly recruited Jimmy Hagan.

We could have been in Europe for the next 5 years.

Er.... hang on a second.....

I find this a bit of an odd thread. Every player we've ever had in a season where we've failed to get promotion / stay in the top division has cost us - every player of every club in the same division in a season where we've failed to get promotion / stay in the top division has cost us. Am I missing something? Or am I failing to get into the spirit of things?

Petr Cech.

Silly hat wearing bastard broke Rob Hulse's leg at Chelsea when he was our top scorer at the time. The rest is history.
