Obviously anyone from 5th to 11th has a chance, but I’d have to say for me Bristol City are the side I’d say have the weakest chance. Then Brentford then us. Not that it matters like just pure speculation.

Millwall Derby and Boro will fight for the last 2 available spots.

I’d go with Boro and Derby. Just. Utd to finish 8th.

UTB

Derby will miss out. In awful form, not a great side and history of choking.

If we win all three we will get in, but I don't think we will beat Bristol City. I have Bristol city beating us to get a play off spot with boro.

I hope not, travelling to Bristol, just to miss out will be like another PO final trip :(

Looking at the remaining fixtures for all the teams from 5th to 11th, I would say Brentford are the side most likely to win them all - QPR (H), Barnsley (A) and Hull (H). That would give them 74 points and give them a good chance of making the play offs.

I think Derby are in serious danger of missing out. Having been thumped by Burton yesterday they will not be looking forward to playing Middlesbrough, Cardiff and Villa. Even Barnsley at home will no longer seem like a gimme, although there is a fair chance they will be down by the time Derby play them.

Similarly, Millwall have a very difficult run in - Fulham, Middlesbrough and Villa, although if Villa are no longer in the hunt for an automatic place they may rest players.

Both Bristol City and Preston have two very winnable fixtures, but both also have to play us. The outcome of their matches against us may well be the deciding factor in whether or not they (or us ) reach the play offs.

It is very much 7 sides going for 2 places.

The way football works it'll probably have us v Bristol as the decider to finish 6th...

Boro and Millwall.
If we’d have won Saturday we’d have got 6th. Massive chance missed.
But then again we’d have likely got Fulham and lost 7-3 on aggregate so no harm done

It would be easier to predict what Donald Trump is next going to send out on twitter.

Of the chasing pack there is only Millwall and us that genuinely seem to want it enough, yet looking at their run in I would be amazed if they kept it up and we seem to specialise in self destruction.

But in all honesty, I cannot call it.

Done 4/5 predictors now and all have Brentford sneaking 6th

When you look at the remaining games for the 7 teams that currently occupy 5th to 11th positions, Brentford have (on paper) the easiest run in. I think you are right. They have a very good chance of getting one of the two places that are available.

We have more difficult fixtures, but if we win them, I think we will make it.

I'm not predicting anything utd wise because, the last 2 weeks the players have tried their best to sabotage our chances as we easily could've won the last 4 but ended with 1 win & 3 draws. but derby could miss out as they are most unpredictable because they have beaten teams but also lost 3-1 & 4-1 to bottom 2 teams in last month

Fairly confident that Derby and Milllwall won't qualify. Millwall due to a difficult run in, and Derby due to a penchant for choking. Derby's game in hand vs Cardiff is massive now. If Preston qualify, it'll be because our result against them isn't good enough. It's in our hand to finish above them - no excuses . Bristol are a point behind us, so a draw could possibly do it if we win the first two games. I think it'll take at least two wins and one draw, with one of the wins having to be against Preston. I think if we get three wins we're there, due to the number of teams playing each other.

I have it
5th Middlesbrough 76
6th PNE 73
7th Derby 72
8th Millwall 72
9th Brentford 72
10th Blades 71
11th Bristol City 68

Those predictions would mean a win for us v Bristol City would give us the same points as PNE so could go down to goal difference. I personally think we'll win our next two games and we'll guarantee a playoff place if we win our last game of the season.

To be fair, Hull are in excellent form and Barnsley are fighting hard, especially at home.

There are no gimmes at this stage of the season.

Boro and Derby have that "extra point" in the way of GD advantage closely followed by the 'Wall.

It is funny isn't it. Even though managers and players come & go, clubs do seem to have a certain 'character'.

Bizarrely, I am quite pleased Millwall have a difficult run in. We are much better as the underdog - that's our character. Millwall are officially the best giant killers in FA Cup history; no lower league club has knocked more English Champions or FA Cup holders than us. We have three Cup Finals coming up.

Plus, two of our last three games are at The Den, and I do not care how big or rich the other club are, I pretty much fancy us at home against anyone in English football up to the top half of the PL at a rocking Den. Fulham having to come to us on a Friday night in such a fever pitch atmosphere is almost perfect.

I would be more fearful of playing the likes of Ipswich, Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday in the run-in. You only have to look at the only home games we have lost this season - Burton, Barnsley and Ipswich - to see how we prefer being the under-dog. In fact, we have only lost 7 of the last 54 home matches - Rochdale, Shrewsbury, Bolton and Oxford United join the three already mentioned. Only Bolton Wanderers can be considered a 'bigger' club. Yet we dispatched Bournemouth, Watford and Leicester City (with ten men) at home.

It's why our London derby record is so good too. Millwall v Charlton is the most one-sided derby in English football (they have only beaten us 12 times in 74 meetings & not for 23 years now). Millwall hold the superior record to West Ham, Palace, Arsenal (in fact no-one has beaten Arsenal more times than us as a percentage of meetings; 29 meetings, 12 Millwall wins & 9 draws), Chelsea and QPR.

Not saying this means we will breeze into the Play-Offs. Just that as a club, I think I prefer playing the likes of Fulham & Villa at The Den and even Middlesbrough away - especially under Neil Harris and with this team of fighters.

I have it down as follows:

1. Wolves (104)
2. Cardiff (95)
3. Fulham (91)
4. Villa (85)
5. Boro (75)
6. Millwall (75)
7. Brentford (72)
8. Preston (72)
9. Derby (71)
10. Blades (71)

That's my honest assessment of the games remaining. I have us down for draws at Brum and Bristol with a win v Preston.

If we win all 3 games, I have us 7th, missing out on GD

Let's hope your players are overly confident too.

We haven't a chance of the play offs.
We can't keep a clean sheet for a start. Which means in our last three games we will need to score at least two goals.
Our play off hopes for this season will be finished at 4.50pm on Saturday.

Stop worring about the play offs look forward to Wigan at home can't wait, I'm going for a Tuesday night in November nice.

I put us as 2 wins and a draw, which is asking a lot, and we still only finished 8th. Win all 3 we get in. Drop any points and it's no can do

I didn't think that was me being overly confident. I was just discussing how I think tougher opponents suit our character as a club better
