It surely also puts an end to the debate about who is the better keeper at the Lane.

Utd should push the boat out if necessary to get Blackman signed up permanently. He will make the odd strange decision as he is young and learning but he has a shit load of quality and potential. He could be a top top keeper for Utd for a long time.

Also think CW has revealed his hand today in who he really rates. Blackman served his suspension and came straight back in. It's clear that he prefers Blackman. And so he should.

Agreed.

Blackman is going to be a top keeper.

The black Peter Schmeichel.

We are almost, but not quite, a very good team.

It’s frustrating because we just lack a little guile in the opponent’s half and a little bloodymindedness in our own.

Our finishing over the last few weeks has been abysmal. Sharp’s miss today just the latest in a long line of absolute sitters.

Unless Billy starts he's a pointless option to bring on as sub. He's got nothing to offer if we're chasing the game. Having said that he should have started last couple of months as Leon's legs are running out.

I thought he brought more today off the bench than Donaldson has in any of his recent appearances.

We should've started him then. And that's nothing to do with any bias. He has the strongest positional instinct of our strikers, that's his main attribute.

Think Wilder has finally decided on his best front two (Clarke & Brooks).

To be fair to Tufty & Billy, they were ever so close to looking like legends!

Who am I kidding, we'd still have found a way to gift them another equaliser!!

I think I walked past you down Shoreham Street after the match. I nearly shouted you but I had the face on so it wouldn't have been much of a conversation anyway.

If Sharp alone had taken one of the half dozen or so unmissable chances he's had we'd be ok

Would you, or any of the “he who can not be dropped or subbed” eesters care to make a comment on any of this ??

Sharp is still a great finisher, no doubt but you can tell his legs are going. Today he looked to bust a gut as always but looked half a yard off the pace. Unless we are going to put the ball on his foot several times in the box he's not going to be effective. Running the channels is not his game anymore.

Yes sure
As I said before if Sharp had took just one of the half dozen unmissable chances he's spurned in the last six games we would be in the play offs now

Aye, my 6 year old had kicked a can in the gutter which had duly splashed stale lager up some guy in a Stone Island coat, so I too had my head down and March on!!

Your venom in this context, correct me if I am wrong, is directed at Sharp ?

Based on this statistic attached, would you concur that it might just be misdirected ??

And if he hadn't won 17 points there would be no play-offs to talk about.

I'm sure you'll acknowledge that any minute now....

I just used Sharp as an example because he's missed the most Clarke and Donaldson have been almost as bad except theyve contributed something to the game other than miss from a yard out

Wilder summed it up quite simply conceding goals from situations we didn't last season better opposition.Although not giving up on this season he more or less said things have to change next season. There maybe more ins and outs than we think for next season.
Wilder s not going to change the ( as he called it ) risk and reward style we have ( exciting football )adopted under his leader ship,
It's all about bringing in better players if what we have aren't good enough, bringing in players to fit the style not changing the style to fit the players..
That is a brave way of managing a club as it can easily go wrong unless you have beleafe in the style and ability ( with backing ) to sign the players
required to improve.
He's had 3 windows and changed the entire playing and philosophy of the club ,will be an interesting close season with a manager not scared to make
big decision s.Just hope he gets the required backing and I'me not talking about big money ( that would send the wage bill soaring). Wilder is a builder
Just needs the funds to push on and take the club forward.
3 games left and still in the mix can he drag a bit more from these players to make the play offs! We may not be good enough but looking at recent. results in this league ! Who is ?

13 goals and 17 points not a contribution then?

My post was referring to his last half dozen or so games
He hasn't scored 13 goals and single handedly amassed 17 points then

In fact he's missed the most consecutive amount of sitters in the history of football

Clarke has missed from a yard out on several occasions this season. Donaldson missed from about 2 ft out on Tuesday.

Or are Billy's worse because you have a long record of despising him?

They're not worse he's just done about 6 on the trot without scoring

Think the one today was so bad he should have walked off the pitch straight in his car and drove home

Did you cheer any of the goals he has scored or did you stick to your principles?

But the statistic PROVES that he hasn’t missed the most.

Why deflect from this fact ??

“Almost as bad except they have contributed something to the game”. Would you care to elaborate ?

Be as specific as you can.

Donaldsons post hit against Cardiff and Clarke's from the week before we're worse than anything I've seen Sharp miss but then again, that doesn't fit with some people's Anti-Billy agenda...

I think I've been pretty clear in my posts in stating that in the last half dozen or so games Billy has missed some embarrassing sitters while not really doing much else

CAnt really emphasise the point much more really

Wasn't even as if I was blaming Billy for us not being In the play offs
I was pointing out that if our strikers had took their chances we'd be in the play offs and used him as single example

But out come the pitchforks and fire

So he hasnt missed loads of sitters lately then ?
I could understand the opposition if I've said he's shit or hes been.shit all season even but
I haven't said that I've just pointed out that if he'd scored one of the chances I would expect Stephen.hawking to score at least one out of six of we would be in the play offs

I've not really had any.argument about that just a load of shit about what's happened before

Interesting.

In the same note, would you expect Stephen Hawking to be able to score more than 2 out of 22 big / good / gilt edged opportunities ?

I’m curious :)

UTB

Don't get this argument. Clarke and Sharp have both been great this season. Its the back up strikers that are the problem.
