Took his two goals crackiling well but is overall game was really poor. I thought he was really poor tonight. Lost count how many times he gave ball away and chequed back into trouble.
He’s got fantastic ability, could do with Couttsy returning ASAP, learning him to make correct decisions

Bang on the money. Good for us and him that he got the goals which will prove crucial but his overall performance for me was as bad as the Barnsley game. He created more attacks for them than they did themselves.

Can be dozy and lose possession at bad times. Bit too often recently.

Great goals, but overall I'd have to agree I'm not too impressed.

I think Lundstram is the better player personally.

Forgive me, but...

On and onnnnn (?)
His second name is Evansy
On and onnnnn
He came from Wolves not Derby
On and onnnnn
He often gives the ball awaaaaayyyyy
1,2,3,4...

Agreed. Lundstram is much more versatile, energetic and drives forward better. Could see him operating anywhere from CDM to CAM, rather like Fleck.

Evans is more limited but good at what he does.

Thought he played fairly well first half, goals aside. Second half everyone was dreadful.

Maybe my eyes need testing?

The midfield looked fucked in the second half. They all looked like they were walking in treacle.

Evans is younger than Lundstram and come up from League 1, Needs games and will improve. Another good signing for me, bit of polish away from a quality Championship player.

He scored two great goals tonight but his overall play was really poor. Not only did he give the ball away in dangerous positions at least half a dozen times he also played hospital balls that put other players in trouble half a dozen times too. I’m not impressed with him at all so far. It’s so frustrating too as at times he’s got a lovely touch and turn but he always seems to want too long on the ball and takes an age to decide what he’s going to do with it. It feels harsh to slag him off after two great goals but the sooner Couttsy comes back the better.

Fleck also looks half the player playing alongside Evans as he does playing alongside Coutts and Duffy.

Our problem is game management we played boro to death first half .closing games down our problem.Look at the squad we la ck experience and an old head who can dictate replay .Times many tonight we just needed somebody who had seen it all and done it.
The football we play going forward is great and exciting to watch, just lack a leader with experience

Pressed the wrong button there we are really in with a chance and if we get to the play offs the nievity we have just might carry us through.
The players have to show the fearless approach of our manager ,just winding down after another tree coaster of a match.

Thank fuck we've got an Evans who does know how to do twos up and scores properly. :D;)

I think that there's been so much said about the quality of the JTW signings over the last week or so that giving any praise at all to one of these is seen as a sign of weakness.

None of the players are perfect but we do have solid championship players that have come together to be greater than the sum of their parts.

We've been outplayed (i mean obviously outplayed, not just having a bad game) maybe 2-3 times all season and for that we should take a lot of heart and give credit to all the players involved.

Two great goals, and a fine through ball for Clarke represents an excellent night's work. Overall I find myself wanting more from Evans though. He lacks consistency in his performances: excellent one game and pretty poor the next; to the extent I can't believe it's the same player. To be fair, we were warned by Wolves fans that this was the case. I think he has the technical ability, and regular Championship games under an excellent management team should only help him. He's a young 23 in terms of regular games played - it's easy to forget that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Evans_(footballer)
Not sure what people are watching, when they think he's been better than Lundstram in his Blades career so far though...

Some horseshit comments on here.

The lad gave the ball away a handful of times last night, just like Fleck, just like Brooks.

That's all some people notice and despite scoring the two goals, his appearance was "very poor"

Why is there such an inherent need to be overly critical amongst us?

Totally. Thought he was no worse than Fleck & Lundstram in the second half, but doesn't have the same cult following as those two - so is immediately singled out.

I didn’t think he was that bad, but even if he was - good performances but wasted chances has been a recurrent theme in the last few games. I’d love all of our players to perform wonderfully, score inspired wondergoals and bury their chances, but I’ll definitely settle for just the latter two.

We had more chances to kill the game, but didn’t, so Lee Evans won us the match. Pretty good, if you ask me.

He's had some great performances, shown real promise and his goals (last night) have kept our season alive - this is all after being plucked from L1 for a nominal fee.

The expectations on these players from (some of) our fans are completely unreasonable and critiscm is often unjustified. It makes me sad.
