Don't know if anyone else saw it but after our second goal there was a young boy who must have got caught up in the surge, who was being carried in a hurry by a steward along the front of the stand.

It looked like the medical staff had a look at him to the right of the stand and fortunately he was able to limp away.

Made me feel sick as fuck but glad he walked away from it. GLTTL.

Got knocked onto the ground and onto the smoke bomb apparently

Every club has a section of disgraceful fans it's just a massive shame our disgraceful fans haven't got banning orders this happens far too often look what happened to West ham when they lost 3-0 witg those pitch invasions the opposition players on the bench got a few of the scared kids from behind the bench and had them sit on the bench for the rest of the game

Thank fxxx for that. I was starting to worry that nobody was going to have a go at our fans this week.

kid looked ok to me. Parents need to appreciate the risks when taking their children to football matches. It was an excited crowd celebrating a goal that led to a surge. I didnt see a smoke bomb and I was near where the boy was. Seemed hysterical to be honest and the steward overreacted to the situation carrying him out like he’d been shot

Kid probably shit himself thought tbf, as most would do in that situation.
But I agree you accept the risks taking your kid away from home, he's fine by the sounds of it though so no problem.

I watched this and saw the kid carried out, took all the joy out of the goal for me, when are they going to grow up ?

Some club will face sanctions soon, I’m betting we’ll be the first cause the FA just love sticking it to the blades...

Unfortunate but what do fans do when they score, especially in a big game and taking the lead? Instinct is to go nuts no matter what age you are. Can't blame the fans for this.

Are you for real?
"parents need to appreciate the risks when taking their kids to football matches"...!!!
And you?
"You accept the risks when taking kids away from home"...!!!

I don't think I've ever read anything more stupid in my life. Hey, let's just ban kids from football stadiums, that'd sort it, right?

No. But you just do the basics, like hold their hand, make sure they are not wearing club colours, don’t drink, and if necessary leave the ground 5 mins early. My kids are too precious to me, to not consider other people’s stupidity.

I saw it from near the back of the stand. Especially as I had my mate’s young un with me, it made me feel sick.

Dad, why can't I wear my United shirt to the game today?
Errrrr....
Dad, the game's finely poised, in fact it's on a knife edge, anything could happen to send it one way or the other in these last few minutes, it's so exciting...what do you mean we're leaving? What, now? Dad....?
Errrr...

rompodebailey I didn't read your post as disagreeing with me, nor am I disagreeing with yours, I'm a parent too and of course we have to consider the stupid actions of the stupid people, but why should any parent ever have to face the above questions?

i saw it from back of stand, glad he's ok.
but did anybody see the gangaly steward in the red top lolloping about in the aftermath :D

No. If you’re leaving early then please don’t turn up in the first place. Thanks.

Glad he’s ok.
When we had standing at the lane and a goal was scored, many a time I ended up closer to the pitch than where I was stood, sometimes it was scary thinking I was going to die  but the surge is/was part of watching football...so my advice is brace yourself cos it’s a rough ride.

No thanks necessary, and your right, not turning up is an option, one I have exercised at a few games, not that I should be put in that position, but the safety off my 10 year old is more impoertant then any game off football, but that’s just me.

Actually your replies fucking stupid. I don’t know whether you’ve ever taken a young child to a match but your main concern is the child’s safety, at all times. Who’s saying ban kids from stadiums ?

You shouldn't have to "appreciate the risks". These fucking idiots shouldn't be launching smoke bombs into their own fans (or anywhere at all). It was Barnsley away last season where another fucking idiot launched one from the back of the stand and it landed in the Blades fans.

Err, there was no smoke bomb involved, as I mentioned earlier. You’re picking up on Foxy’s “ apparently” comment..

Saw the lad carried out but didn't see how he got hurt.

Did see the smoke bomb hit someone on the back of the head or neck. Personally speaking i don't have an issue with pyro but I do with most of the little pricks using it.

Every game they get thrown into our own fans because they don't want to get caught.

I'm confused.

Seems it all black and white to a few when following the Blades, especially when it comes to kids.

Anyone would think fans of the future are irrelevant and an inconvenience to the concourse cunts whose main part of the day is jumping around in the back of the stand barging into people and chucking beer around to put on social media.

The 80s were more than tasty but I don't remember being put off matches as a kid by our own fans in the ground.

It seems a foreign thought to some that you can be boisterous and noisy in support of tour team, and enjoy a drink, without being an utter cunt.

Goes without saying that out of thousands of people you'll get your fair share of dickheads but I'm struggling to remember a time when such a proportion of our younger fans were full weight wanksocks amongst their own with no bollocks when it really comes on top outside.

It was the kids dad that said there was.
