Of the players we signed/loaned, who has been worth while?

Evans has been ok, the rest less so, though injury has played a part.
Given we were meant to be strengthening for the run-in, they've generally been a disappointment and haven't added impetus.

Football fans are thick. We know fuck all to be honest.

I remember a time when Jamie Murphy and Paul Coutts had people frothing at the mouth and people would have paid good money to have them ousted from the club.

I remember a time when Neil Warnock brought in five players during a transfer window, and only one of them became a regular immediately and made an instant impact, and some people are still criticising him for it today.

Given that they were brought in as reinforcements to hopefully push us into the playoffs I was just interested in what people thought of them, it is too soon to give a definite answer on if they were worth it tho I agree.
We can go around in circles with this question... some on here know my opinion on this! 4 average league one players brought in to ‘reinforce’ the team was never going to give us that push for the playoffs, that boat has well and truly sailed. We needed 2 or 3 (Championship, premier loan) players to give that push ‘10mil’ and the United board where never going to allow CW that. To see our current crop of players still battling to achieve the playoffs is admirable. CW brought these 4 players into the club (on a budget) and they haven’t been played - ask yourself why? what is more worrying is that all but one are now with us on long contracts and won’t be easy to move on, if indeed CW want to move them on? Can you honestly see any of them being first choice on the team sheet next season?

That's the potential problem for next season, particularly if we get off to a sticky start.

Neil Warnock once "flirted" with Pompey so he's a cunt with a massive nose apparently.

It’s often said don’t expect much from January signings because they struggle to immediately fit into their new club.
Just look at how Alexi Sanchez is struggling at Man Utd.

Exactly. We should have left Wilson where he was and taken Sanchez instead. Win/win for both clubs.

Not sure about the reason, can't argue with the conclusion though. Tommo and Rushy would be well pleased with that proboscis .

I can see at least Evans being part of the first team as he has been basically since he signed, Holmes hasn't played much because of injury and Leonard has only had a small handful of chances to show what he can do. I think only Wilson so far can be seen as a poor addition since he has seemed selfish and lazy in his appearances. And yes they have helped us push to the playoffs because our form has improved with Evans filling in the Coutts role, Lundstram was improving but he is a different kind of player so struggled to fit the role. We might be 9th but were still only 2 points off 6th (and 5th but derby have a game in hand) so we're still well in the mix and the boat most certainly hasn't sailed, I'm not saying playoffs are guaranteed but we still have a good shout.
