Does anyone really believe Brooks is worth 10mill+?

His goal aside on Tuesday he didn't really offer much and it was just that, Burton Albion.

Came on today and you could've mistaken him for someone else and thought he was still on the bench. Apart from making Jack Hunt look a you know what, he's not really been amazing in my opinion.

Do well to get a decent fee for him. Next Diego? Maybe.
You haven't got a clue, have you !

It's alright, I've had a word with our local village team and they're prepared to offer a bag of carrots and a new size 4 spanner for him.

Brooks is a wanker.

Worst I've seen him play.

Obviously tried a bit too hard to to make use of his limited minutes on the pitch.

Fuck Brooks. Sell him. Another Jordan Slew. Another £1m fee would do us very nicely.

Suppose it’s the baggage you have to carry when you’re one of those special players who can make things happen - sometimes it’s just not your day. Today wasn’t, but it wasn’t that long ago when he showed us exactly what he can do, and in today’s market that’s priceless

I'll be honest I don't think he's a wonder kid and believe he has been slightly overhyped, based on his performance at the sty, but while he undoubtedly has potential to become a great player, he is no Ryan Sessegnon who certainly has earned that title.

If he is going to be a top Championship player he needs to get in the gym, fill out and strengthen his physique, then I think we will see his value.

What's more, if he's still suffering the after effects of glandular fever, why is he even being brought on, particularly in such atrocious conditions

He probably should have been ruled out until the end of the season, in order to take the pressure of him.Glandular fever effects you both physically and mentally - making decisions on a football pitch in a high pressure environment must be really tough. Getting through day to day life is hard enough. He seemed to be lacking energy, and the ability to make decisions today. Those clamouring for him to start in the first team aren't helping any.

He cant always make a great impact every single time he comes off the bench. He needs to start more in order for him to make a greater impact on the game more consistently and to iron out his decision making. The medical issue may be holding him back in that regard, but i'd really like to see him start more if possible. It is also his first full season as a proper first team player, we've seen the talent and the goals and a couple assists, his consistency is only going to improve and we have to make sure we are the ones who are going to benefit from it. I'm hopeful we will.

Ffs give the lad a chance..he can't be expected to come on and rescue us every time he comes on off the bench !
I think he was trying too hard today, and came across a very good and organised defence..this is another bit of his learning curve.

This is one of the reasons. He's had that what 3 months ago, and he's still not ready to make a start? Hes 20 ffs, he should have been fit and ready 5 games ago.
Crazy isn't it.... Glandular fever is a lot worse than many people realise!

He can basically play short spells but his recovery is then really slow.

I'm actually surprised that he's been playing a part in 2 games per week

Currently no, but if Tottingham want to pay up fine by me.

It's simply not right to judge any player in those conditions. Yesterday on MoTD, the 'pundits' were desperate to create a 'Who should be England's goalie?' story in the Stoke v Everton game (Butland or Pickford). Butland got roundly criticised for his 'errors' in both Everton goals. He did fuck all wrong.
Strangely, for a game billed as a sell-out - Stoke's biggest home crowd for 30 years, I swear I saw plenty of vacant seats in the torrential blizzard conditions. And I thought it was only us...

yeah that joe hart love in nearly made me puke. Butland is easily the best keeper

Doesn't look as if he's being coached that well or is ignoring what he's being told.
He is a skilful, talented player but if you're going to try to beat one or two men pretty much every time you get the ball, the opposition will know what you're going to do.
Do it every now and again or look for a killer pass instead or accept the simple lay-off is the better idea every now and again and you're far less predictable and more dangerous.

There’s always loads of empty seats at Stoke City.
Their season tickets are really cheap, so even if you can only make 6 games a season they are still arguably worth buying.
Think they have 26K season ticket holders, so based on tickets sold every match is close to a 30K sell out.

He had a poor cameo yesterday ,happens to all players. He was making wrong decisions he will learn from that.Trying too hard really to live up to the hype about him, let's not expect too much too quickly, grill deliver in time.

Yes he did play poorly at the weekend but I put that more down to the conditions of the pitch, he couldn't do his normal quick turns as it was too slippery and it seems playing like that is a very large part of his game as he couldn't adapt. I found it strange when Ricky Holmes then got brought on after it was obvious skillful players would struggle...including Duffy here too, who had an off game.

Regarding glandular fever i funnily enough thought it might be that before it got announced as such. When it was confirmed I said to some people at work that I'd be shocked if he even played again this season. They thought I was being stupid...

Don't think ronaldinho would have been able to thread a pass through to the two blamanges we had up front yesterday
