We need to get back to winning ways with this one, and given that we've had disappointing results in recent weeks (Hull, yesterday). I'd go with:

This could also be one for a return to the side for Freeman, even as a sub, in addition to a turn out for Lafferty. I think there's something to be said for Lafferty being in the side, O'Connell feels safer bombing forward with him there.

I agree, I'd have no complaints if we went for it as we did in the earlier stages of the season. If we get caught on the break, at least we can say we went for it. Imagine missing out through having played reserved, sideways passing football. Let's have a go...

Would just look to make some small changes: Blackman - O'Connell, Wright, Stearman - Lafferty, Baldock - Fleck, Lundstram, Holmes - Donaldson, Sharp.

I'm assuming Wright is fit as he wasn't in the eighteen yesterday. Would look to give Freeman minutes for Baldock and get Brooks in at some stage

I’ve wanted to see us play Duffy and Brooks together behind Clarke for a while now.

I don’t know what Enda Stevens has to do to get dropped. I’m not a massive Lafferty fan, but surely he deserves a go?

The rest of the players more or less pick themselves, though some might go for Lundstram over Evans. I just feel Evans offers a bit more bite and mobility in there. He has a lot of potential does Evans, because he’s actually shown he can be pretty good on the ball too, but he needs to bring it all together over 90 minutes more often. Just a bit hit and miss.

The only problem with having Duffy and Brooks starting is that neither do the defensive part of the role and hence the rest of the midfield will be overworked. That might not be such an issue at home to Burton but better teams will exploit it and I certainly wouldnt risk it away from home.
