Fulham's ground

It's one of the great shames of this season that QPR & Fulham away were both mid-weekers. Both are great weekenders.
Agreed I’ve not been to Fulham and had earmarked it. Annoyingly Brentford is a great one this year and another I’d earmarked but it’s the nipper’s birthday weekend so me going missing for 48 hours and returning smelling funny and hungover would be frowned upon.

There were hundreds of people trying to get on the train at Earls Court. All the doors were obstructed by the crowd of people. It stood there for at least 5 minutes and I didn't see any prospect of it moving any time soon and knew it would take 40 mins to walk, so rather than waste time there, I set off walking.
I've been scratching my head as to why Blades are taking the district line to Fulham. It's the worst line. As an FYI the Putney train from Waterloo is regular and quick and the walk takes you past some belting pubs like the Bricklayers. Not that we'll be playing them next year...

Yes it was next to the Thames which is nice but I've never been that keen on Craven Cottage. I remember the big open air away end they had from years ago. I've seen us play there four times at least I think and score once and lose on every occasion. But last night near where I stood there was one large step bigger than the other steps on the gangway. A lot of Blades were coming in late after beer (there was a problem with the underground line to Putney Bridge) and sure enough one Blade went tumbling and banged his head against a seat. Good job the seats were plastic. He could easily have split his head open. Also the stewards were being jobsworths. Still the performance of the night came from the Blade who fell and banged his head yet managed to keep his pie up. He got back on his feet pie intact.
Just remembered that ,I did one of those big steps where you pretend nothings happened and just about got away with it... 3 times ,luckily at the end I noticed about 6 in front of me doing it so wised up ,

I was staying near earls court hence my use of the district line. As a visitor to London it's always a bit difficult to know the most efficient way to get around so I'll try to remember your info for the next time!
