Joke.

The London authorities have managed to sanction two games with much bigger crowds in the last 24 hrs

Not been blessed with a lot of fortune over it Ricky.

I'd say something churchillian about fighting them on the beaches or something, if I could think of a better one than beaches and fighting

Reading this I just had visions of uncle Albert “during the war” agreed though, although I often wonder how exaggerated you old uns get about extreme weather. Every year the stories of snow drifts seem to grow another foot !

The older we get the worse it was and the better we were!!

Seriously, when you read about days off school and days off work due to adverse weather it makes me fucking weep. It was honestly zero in my day and a few on here will back me up on this.

Latest advice from Met Office.

Southerners are urged not to travel unless absolutely necessary. Northerners you will need your big coat.

I've stayed at home and worn my big coat the whole time. SOUTHERN SOFTIE AND PROUD

4 consecutive away games,, struggling to see the benefit

Which should mean we’ve got more home games left in the run in. Also we play the same amount of away games as we do home games so what does it matter?

I presume we looked at our fixture and injury list before making the decision.

Like the number of people at the Port Vale game. (I actually was)

If it’s rescheduled over the next few weeks when I’m abroad will I get my money back ?

No brainer for the club really, the attendance would likely be significantly down which would mean tens of thousands in lost revenue.

Really does make you wonder how this country won 2 world wars with the pathetic response to this snow. I was born in 95 so the heaviest snow I've seen was 2010 but based on accounts from others, things still carried on in snow 4x this severity back int day. Makes you wonder where things are heading.

Can you tell I'm disappointed the game has been called off?

To be honest it might work out better being played on a Tuesday.

It would've been an uphill battle on Saturday because the attendance would've been significantly reduced - a bit like Bristol City again.
