Leonard

Very unimpressed so far, but as LM said it is early days.

I am not sure why we signed Leonard (and Holmes) UNLESS we get rid of Lunny (and Carruthers) in summer.

Not found a position yet. He is a dynamic, athletic cm but we play a holding mf, an attacking mf and Fleck. He's none of those. I still think he could end up at cb

Leonard’s performance tonight was one of the worst I’ve seen from a Blades player and championship player in general.

He made 14 passes in 60 odd minutes. 14!! As a central midfielder. That is no better than what you would see in a pub league or a U13 team.

He should have been hauled off at half time he was so bad in the first half. I would also have taken off Stevens as well who was equally shocking.

Just hope Leonard can recover from that performance otherwise he’ll be on his way out in the summer.

Its tricky because I 100% agree the lad has to be given enough time.

However I also believe players should play on merit. Obviously I don't see training but Leonard has done nothing in games so far to be a first choice starter imho.

His bursting run and shot on Tuesday night is frankly the only time I've sat up and took notice. His only other remotely positive contributions have been something any professional player could produce.

The lad shouldn't be written off yet but equally I'd rather not see him struggle at the expense of players who've proved themselves more so far.

Frank lampard that is shit at shooting ... early days but he looks like a shocking signing on his performances so far

Rubbish, don’t get me wrong, he was extremely poor tonight and the wrong decision by Wilder to put him in. Shouldn’t be starting and he should be coming off of the bench when needed until ready.

He’s not up to the pace of championship football yet to be a starter but there is clear evidence of a player there. It’s ridiculous to expect players who have never played at this level to just come in and slot in perfectly.

He’s not ready yet to start , that doesn’t mean he never will be and can be written off as a ‘shocking signing’.

If we stick with this formation, I predict Leonard will eventually end up playing RWB.

On recent displays a Premiership team would be happy to offer 3-4m for Baldock. He’s our main outlet, especially without Duffy or Brooks or potentially Holmes.

You can't write Leonard off yet, but if Brooks and Holmes are available for the next game, will he even get a spot on the bench?

He has just stepped up from League 1, might need a little bit of time to adapt to be fair.

Interesting you say there is clear evidence? Where? He has been very poor so far. What he did at Southend does not matter now. He is playing a league higher and other than one tackle and run where he had a shot deflected over he has looked badly out of his depth in 4 or 5 games I have seen. That is not scapegoating; just honest assessment of what I have seen.

Hopefully with a proper pre season and time to adjust he can still make an impact but looks what he was...a player playing for a lower League One side.

As with others though every faith Wilder can get best out of him.

He looks shite, slow and is not on the same wavelength as the rest of them

He's been garbage so far and it will be a big end to the season for him. You could quite easily see him being moved on in the Summer. I'm certainly not writing him off as it's ridiculously early but he's literally shown nothing so far. At least when Coutts first came you could tell he was technically very good even though it looked like his legs had gone.

Really giving him a chance aren't you.
