Why not include Sheffield FC at the bottom? They're clearly inferior to all the other sides.

Or.. let's just include teams in the same division. Also, that way we come top :)

Just because some politician or civil servant with nowt better to do decides to nick part of Yorkshire to create an unnecessary new admin area, doesn`t mean it has ceased to be part of the best county of England. Cleveland !?!? wtf is that ?

Correct, it didn’t stop Yorkshire playing cricket there before they decided to become leeds and a couple of games at Scarborough County Cricket Club.

boro is cleveland these days

Middlesbrough has always been in Cleveland - but Cleveland was just the name of the area rather than a county - it then became a county in the 70's but that was dissolved in 1996 - Middlesborough officially became part of North Yorkshire again and still is.

However the border between Yorkshire and Durham is the River Tees - so the town actually straddles both counties.

The Riverside is just south of the river, so replaced The Lane as the closest Yorkshire league ground to another county in 96 and 'Boro can rightfully claim to play in Yorkshire.

My answer remains 'fuck 'em' though.
