I know a good few down there and been down there many times to the match and around Shameless town centre ; yep and I thought Rotherham was a lifeless shithole I had to eat my words .
Roy’s View is a very very good reflection on how these wankers now believe they are something special as said above was glad when won the title the other year not because it was Leicester just because it broke up the monotony of the billionaires club winning it and could have been anyone else
Well wankers enjoy the sun set as Vardy’s 32 and injury prone , Mahrez is looking at houses in Alderley Edge and the cash youve spunked up the wall in trying to bring players in that have basically been championship quality on champions league wages will return you to your rightful place.
As Fred says on the Simply Lovely Blogg ... be seeing you
they'll be back down here soon. i seem to remember some outfit called Hull lording it over us a couple of seasons ago . where are they now???

Premier League football clearly turns fans into complete Arseholes.

I'm not sure it's just being in the PL that does it. Coventry, Forest, Wigan, Wednesday etc. fans are all cunts with ideas way above their station. Most of them have no serious competition in their home towns. With RS and The Stir, you'd think Wednesday don't either.

Comments as usual ranging from the odd thoughtful and knowledgeable one to the totally clueless fuckwits stuck in a premiership bubble. They are a club of pretty much the same size as us and maybe a role model for us to aim for but not at the expense off selling your soul and filling your stadium with supporters who after winning the league a couple of years ago clearly think they are bigger and better than they are. No sour grapes. Well done Leicester and good luck in the next round.
Cheers Roy

We’re potentially a far bigger club than Leicester.

Clubs that go bust are a role model you don’t want.

There we go

Some of our BIC fans cap-doffed them along the way though. There’s no club to which we will not tug our forelocks.

umm .. you've lost me mate.. what is a BIC.. i'm guessing bladey .. summat.. summat ;)

I agree. We should know our place and tell Leicester fucking City how wonderful they are.

Tellemallowmuchweadmirem.

I'm surprised at that from you. I believe by calling them "cunts" we are displaying the small-minded parochial attitude you so often criticise.

They are a good side, we gave them a good game. There's not much in their comments that contradicts that. But if mindless abuse sets us above them, crack on.

They are a decent premiership team, no more. They had an amazing season in the sun and that was great for football. They are now on their gradual descent. To label them a role model ignores their dubious history. They are a relatively minor club. We are far bigger than clubs like Leicester, WBA, Stoke and Southampton, often touted on here as being of ‘comparable size’. They’ve simply happened on some dosh. If and when we get back to the Premiership we’ll leave such nonentities standing.

Some of our fans can’t wait to laud other clubs whilst diminishing our own. Anyone who takes a bit of pride in our club, except by way of glorying in upanatem and underdogging, is shouted down as ‘talking like the pigs’.

We’re massive.

"They defended fairly well but their attack was about as dangerous as a democratic party election campaign. "

Aha, so the Russians were interfering then. And clearly no collusion by the Trump campaign.

Phew, I can agree with you again. I feel I can respect (rather than laud) another team, while still being proud of my team. The two aren't mutually exclusive and in no way (in my mind at least) diminishes our team.

And yes, we are a bigger club than those you list, and in my head/heart I know we are potentially as big as any.

And usually I enjoy the swear-a-thon that follows the View from, but on this occasion I am struggling to be offended by it.

I had scarcely read it and certainly unaware that we had called them rude names. I was just making a discrete point, rather than particularly disagreeing with you. I sometimes attach a rant to the nearest convenient post, much to the recipient’s surprise...

I admire your work Sir, and should I fall as collateral damage.. then so be it. :)

I was referring to what they have achieved in the last ten years or so on the pitch...... but I take your point
:)

I remember being on the silly’o’clock beer train to London for Millwall away during their Prem winning season 6:30am train I think it was. Think Leicester were away at Chelsea everyone expected hordes of Leicester fans to get on (at Leicester obviously)! Don’t think one got on. I think that’s one difference between our fans and their’s!

At Bramall Lane and with our 1st eleven, and certainly with nothing else to play for (like them) I'm pretty confident we'd have seen them off - despite players like Gray (my MOM) Vardy and Mahrez !

At full time In the promotion game at Filbert Street there were thousands of Blades on the pitch waiting for Basset and the team to come out into the stand. All of a sudden about fifty of the Baby Squad come back into the ground shouting. Quickly turned and legged at as about 900 people turned around and started to move towards them. Twats.

I know a bus parking exercise when I see one, and it was not United last night. They must have watched a different game to me if they think we came for a draw, quite funny really!

Yeh but they won the premiership so now they think they're Man City Barca and Madrid rolled into 1 club!.

They can pee off making a bid for Jack, that kid’s goung be be as good if not better than Harry.

What game were that lot watching, particularly the ones wanking over Mahrez. Apart from the one ball to Vardy (where we switched off, rather than them being great), he was almost as anonymous as Ched.

My review:

Deane and Agana ripped the tramps to pieces, 5-2 and promoted to the top flight whilst the filthy swine were relegated, best day ever!! Can't believe how shit their fans were, out sung and out numbered in their crumbling rust bucket stadium. What they need is a few plastic fans clapping paper things together, you might hear them then.

That's the Massive you're describing there pal!

I just thought they were incredibly inaccurate comments, really bizarre; we played for a draw, 9 men behind the ball, dour game etc etc. Not the match I saw at all.
