Anybody know any reason we should be excited about the signing of Wedgebury and Lowton? Neither have come close to the first team and look destined for a career in Hungary along with Ashmore and Robertson.

I'd be very surprised if Wedgbury doesn't break into the first team in the next 2 years.

Every time I've seen him he's impressed, I think he should be given the chance to impress in the cup this year like Walker was.

With some players it can't be forced. It was pretty much a fluke that Walker got his chance and shone in the first team.

I think Wedgbury is a solid player... nothing too flashy. Not seen him for a while but he seemed a reasonable choice for captain at U18 level. Wikipedia has him down at 6 foot odd so he's definitely grown since I last saw him play.

Wedgbury will be the next one through according to my reliable sources (tipped me off about Naughton 3 years ago). Solid, reliable and will make a great captain. Natural successor to Morgan according to my mate, and the reason we let Foxy's gallic lovebunny go.

Keep an eye out for Nathaniel Foster as well. A tall, athletic forward who knows where the goal is. Expect to see him in a few Carling Cup games etc.
