Just think who we will have lining up....no Fleck.

But Lundstram and likely Bash in midfield.

This is where the cup run ends I’m afraid.

The thing about Friday's game is we really don't have anything to lose. We've still got the playoffs to go for. Leicester need to win to reassure their fans that they can still win something occasionally. I'll be there to sing loud and proud and hopefully we can get a result. Utb

They got spanked by a team that are, simply, too good.

I suspect we'll lose on Friday, but will give a good account of ourselves and not be embarassed. 3-1 Leics is my prediction.

Any tips on where to park would be appreciated, I'm not bothered if it's a bit of a walk but it sounds like grid lock getting away from the ground so it would be nice to miss some of the traffic if possible.

There were some Leicester fans on 5 live phone in. Not happy about the way they have been playing. They think we will beat them

A place in the last 8 of no interest then?

Oh dear!

I hope Wilder sees it different to you mate!

I’ll be there desperate for us to win. A fantastic opportunity for us and I hope he puts our strongest possible team out!
Yes, it would be nice but not at the detriment to promotion.

Fuck it, play the kids. All about the league this season.
The kids and the players coming back to fitness.
Honestly I couldn't give a shit about the cup.
Unless we get to a final it's always been about the league for me.

I thought the Leicester game earlier in the season was a bit of a turning point for us. Half way through the players realised they were going to lose and so lost some of their reticence and deliberation we saw in the previous League games.

We were passing to the man and this slowed us down when attacking, but during this game we were forced to play at a faster pace and started to knock the ball forward into space for players to run onto. We took this into the League and ended up top.

Recently though we’ve become more fearful and less cavalier - so I’m looking forward to this one. - its not a glory tie some might have hoped for but the way Leicester play could shake us up again and help us in the League - so even if we lose 5-1 we’ll learn more than if we get smashed 5-1 by Man City.

You weren't interested in the semi-final v Hull a few years ago then, or the semi-final v Wednesday at Wembley? Did you go to the game in the League Cup when we beat Southampton at home or drew with Spurs? Most Blades I know did - and they really enjoyed it. You should give a shit about the Cup mate - you might enjoy yourself. And trust me, it 's definitely not all about "The Final". If it was, then there'd be very few folks on here who could comment, because our last one was 1935!

No-one is disputing that the League is far more important to the club. Especially in the position we find ourselves now. If we can get back to the Prem at the end of this season that's worth more to us than half a dozen FA Cups. But - that doesn't mean the FA Cup isn't interesting.

I think it's such a pity that some clubs have shown contempt for the FA Cup and that seems to have resulted in some fans showing contempt for it too. It was the highlight of the Football season for me as a kid. The whole day, from getting up in the morning and switching on the black and white portable TV, to seeing the winners take to the podium at 5pm, was about the FA Cup. The build up, the romance of the early rounds, seeing little teams who I'd never heard of, beating big famous teams. Hereford United - a non-league football team - smashing Newcastle United out of the Cup with a wonder goal from a player with a Boy's Own annual name of "Ronnie Radford".

The FA Cup is still magical. And, I'll just repeat myself here for the hard of understanding...we are one game away from the last 8 - and so are another Sheffield club.

If that doesn't make this competition "interesting" for you then I don't know what will?

And as for the following...

Yes, it would be nice but not at the detriment to promotion.

It's no more detriment to promotion than any other game we play. In fact, it's probably going to be less detriment to promotion, because not all the usual players that we rely on for the league will feature. So, there's even less chance of something happening that's going to mess up our promotion chances.

I know what you're getting at...we don't want players to get injured in the FA Cup match and not be available for the league. Fair enough - but we can't wrap players in cotton wool and there's just as much chance they could get injured in training. So...

It's not just injuries, it's fatigue, we will have to really go all out to beat Leicester.

It's also rearranged games, games in hand, playing catchup etc.

Don't get me wrong, if you offered me the fa cup or promotion now, I'd take the cup.

Problem is I don't think we will win the cup but we could get promotion.

I suspect it’ll be a repeat of the league cup ( sorry old school and don’t like calling them sponsors nsmes) match at the lane our squad players vs theirs diff was their front 2 cosy £40m ..League mote important but don’t want to see us embarrassed , under other circumstances would like to have seen our strongest 11 out their .
Just gotta see now if I can get a ticket , not sure if it’ll sell out or not ?

Well I’m going to this match and I want to see our best available lineup. If I wanted to see our kids play I’d go to watch our U23s or U18s play.

Billy, the confidence now surging back through his veins, licking his lips at the prospect of taking the piss out of Harold.

we'll be in it again next year no matter what.. the league takes a whole season it is a unique opportunity. and it's' not like we're going to win it is it? i admire your nostalgia. i was there myself but Ronnie Radford will never happen again

It's going to be tough to finish in the top 6 let alone win the play offs.

For many of our players reaching the latter stages of the Cup doesn't come around often in a career if at all.

Whilst I see where people are coming from I really don't see any excuse for not going all out to get through this tie.

Of course we're not going to win the cup. It will be won by one of the top six, like it usually is. If anyone thinks we're going to turn up at Wembley and spank Liverpool or Man U or City they want their bumps feeling and the longer you go in the cup, the more important the games become and the more disruptive their effect.

We'll have to play some of our first teamers on Friday as its a big game for them, like Stearman who'll be desperate to play against his old club, and the full backs. But QPR has to be the priority because, as you quite rightly say, we can still make the top six, that's far more achievable.

On previous occasions I've parked on Kingsley st/Oakland Rd. Free parking. Be about 10/15min walk from there...park up, go to the end of oakland Rd and turn left. You can't miss it, follow the crowd. Alternatively, matchday parking available in Morrisons car park in Freemans Common (£5?)

The only certainty in this game is that Vardy will score. Unless Leicester take a billy big bollox attitude, underestimate us and give him a rest. Then we will beat them.

I'm going for a draw and replay at BDTBL!

UTB!
