Seeing as we can't post the fixture list, I'll post these lovely pictures of kittens.

Of course, guests can't see my pictures of kittens... so they will have to take my word for it:

But back to talking about the fixtures... Wednesday away on Foxy's birthday!

I reckon our opening fixture against Boro will be on telly. I'm also convinced that the pigs will moan at some point about us having more matches on tv than them, whilst conveniently forgetting - again - that they've got home fixtures for the first and last games and the one on Boxing day.

Does anyone know if the Lincoln friendly (mentioned elsewhere on this site) is a first team game? It's not mentioned in the BBC first team fixture list.

Away on the opening day, Boxing day and last day. Brilliant. Wank biscuits.

I reckon there is a chance but i notice that The Geordies play West Brom on the opening day too; i wouldn't be surprised if both games ate shown.

The fixture list for me:

I am not, repeat, not going to Reading this year.

College means that Blackpool away, Ipswich home and Forest home are no-gos.

It might have to be an either/or between Bristol and Plymouth... two long journeys to make on consecutive weekends...

...especially when you just know that QPR is going to be an overnighter just before Crimble.

As for the second half of the season... Palace away would be the only one I'd be tempted to miss.

A continuation of my college course would mean that Preston and Forest away aren't possible... and neither are Reading and Blackpool at home. EDIT: No it wouldn't, I'm being daft. The classes for the next grade up are on Wednesday nights.

Cardiff away is going to be an overnighter that I have to book time off for.

Thanks for the feline photo's Linz, I think the 3rd on the left looks a bit like SF.

The grey one with its paws around a bottle of cab sav?

Ge'or... looks nowt like him :D

I can see why you'd think that DD, but look beyond the fur colour and that 'blasted to buggery' look and the bottle. You can see no resemblance whatsoever.

In fact that sneering, boozy look, with the imagined exclamation of "F*~#ing get him!" and I see another forum member altogether! Think female owners in Norfolk! :D

Its a good spot SEB, but I think I am able to declare Mornington Crescent here, after all we are playing the unabridged Linz rules with a Delia option if required.

Not great fixtures, tired of being away 1st last and Boxing Day, and Preston being on a tuesday night is annoying as I usually use the game there (or Burnley, who aren't around any more, grrr) as an excuse to go and stay with mates in that part of the world.

Need to book a holiday for August that'll have me missing Reading away - we can't win there twice in a row, can we?!

Would love to see us seal the title with two games to spare. Imagine becoming champions by beating the Piggies at their place :D:D

Only difficult ones for me will be the games at the end of Oct as I'm working away. Bloody typical that we get two home games - and they're against Cardiff and Newcastle  Why couldn't it have been Plymouth and Swansea away?

In the 3 weekends I'm away on hols in Nov/Dec I only miss one home saturday game (Palace), so at least that's not a bad result. :)

That there fixture list we've got could be better, and it could be worse. The only match I'll be on holiday for is Scunny away, and I'm not going to their manky cowshed again. Still, Ipswich away for the last match of the season is a bit bobbins, and why do we always seem to get drawn away on Boxing Day most of the time?

That is absolute shit.
Away 1st game, last game, boxing day, easter monday and week before christams.

Utter shit. they do the fixtures in a computer then look over them to make sure they are right, so why the fork do we get cardiff away on a tuesday and away games for all the biggies such as first last etc.

Then we get bristol away and plymouth away weekend after each other. F**king useless.

When was the last time the fixtures actually worked well for us?

When was the last time the fixtures actually worked well for us?

Yeah but the thing is... we've got to play everyone at some time.

The following places are what I'd consider to be quite far away... so you'd want them at the weekend.

Blackpool
Bristol
Cardiff
Crystal Palace
Ipswich
Middlesbrough
Newcastle
Peterborough
Plymouth
QPR
Reading
Swansea
Watford

Apart from Blackpool and Cardiff... and Newcastle over the Easter weekend... these are all weekend fixtures.

Barnsley and Wednesday matches really need to be weekend ones so I can understand the difficulty in finding enough weekends.

Away first and last game is hardly a hardship... and neither is the short run down to Leicester on Boxing Day. Let's face it Keenz... it's hardly you driving to them is it? :D
