I'll come clean - family live in Birmingham, and Villa are my grandson's second team. He has clearly infiltrated their forum...

Pleasantly surprised at their humility

Fair play to them

However, I'm still gutted at losing that fker and I would've been fairly happy if we had at least got a draw.

Strange how one of their fans noticed that we fucked it up with our subs but many of ours didn't.
Yes it didn't work on the night but at least they were positive changes ,we lost our way for a timely 2nd half the sun's didn't work it happens.
Didn't deserve to lose that though we lack a match winner ( snodgrass ) matched them apart from that

Wow, that was a rollercoaster of emotion reading that.

I imagine that's like footballing equivalent of some lad stealing your missus, but he actually turns out to be a great guy. Not only that, he let's you bang her one last time for sentiment's sake. Mind f*ck.

Always quite liked villa got family down there who support them so its nice to see comments like that only reason I have gone off them is cos of the bent nose judas

One thing that seems to have gone unnoticed from last night's match from both sets of fans was that the game contained no time wasting, no dirty tackles, no snidey tackles, no diving, no feigning injury and a will from both sides to get on with it and win the fucking thing. I though I'd stepped back 50 years in time. Credit to both sides.

All the more amazing given that Terry was playing.

Cheers Roy. I think I’m going to have to leave work early, it’s put me about a bit reading nice comments about us. My brain can’t take it.

Wait, what?

Aside from Grealish hurling himself over a few times first half, Hourihane giving it a go, Snodgrass lying down instead of attacking in our box, the goalie kicking the ball over the advertising boards, Hutton trying to take Baldock’s head off and that they had clearly settled for a point in the last ten minutes before a piece of brilliance from Snodgrass, I fully agree.

You’re thinking of Fulham.

Did you go home after half an hour Snoots?
First 30 was exactly as you say (except for the number 9 repeatedly fouling our CB's). After that they adopted a different code, got a bit niggly, started wording the ref, and the Hutton bloke seemed to lose his spine! Nowhere near some we've seen this season but that may be because there was still a game to be won. Could easily have got bad if they'd scored earlier.

It's a shame that's the way you saw it. I could counter it but won't bother.

Yeah, sure there was stuff going on, it was a football game after all. But it was only about 1/10 on the Norwichter Scale.

It was a close game and they nicked it late. We played pretty well against one of the best teams in the division. The comments reflect that.

Hopefully Weeds come out and try to play next week. I think we coukd batter them if they do

Great comments but I suppose it's easy to be so gracious in the circumstances.

Some of those forum members who were posting bollocks on here last night should take a look at those views because we're not as bad as some of you think we are.

and therein lies the problem. Villa came to play and changed after 30 mins because it was going badly for them. I suspect most teams who have seen us will decide to take a cautious approach as that is seemingly the best way to beat us.

Those comments from the Villa fans come as a reality check for all the unbelievably negative Blades fans who seem to have lost sight of how far we've come in a very short time. Hull City were Prem last season - now look where they are, with Adkins at the helm for the immediate furture too. Cheer up guys for Chris(t)'s sake!

Credit to em. A noisy, ebullient set of fans last night too, best that's been at the Lane this season tbf.

“Can somebody explain why there are loads of Norwich fans replying to Sheffield United official tweets yesterdays? They seem obsessed for some reason”

Cos Norwich are desperate to find someone who actually cares about them..

Great reviews but I honestly didn’t think we played as good as they thought we played.

Personally I thought it was hearing what 2500 pre schoolers. They sound quite simple due to being from Birmingham and they kept words to two syllables for the most part.

And one or two odd chants (in among the more generic ones), especially the yippie one.
