Tim Cahill has left MLS side New York Red Bulls after his contract was ended by mutual consent.

GO GET HIM!!!!

Just left Melbourne City by mutual consent looking for more game time before World Cup. Wants to make an impression to new Aussie coach (whoever that may be)
Scores goals for fun & when they're needed, almost singlehandedly responsible for Australia's qualification.
No transfer fee, wouldn't be after much money...reportedly on less than 5K GBP a week (don't have pounds symbol on my keyboard) at Melbourne last year.
Could be the one to start converting all this possession we have into goals?
Give him a contract just til the end of season to get our automatic promotion push back on track!?

The tin hat is on!

YES!!! GERRIMIN!!!

If he left the a league. Because he couldnt get a game. I dont see how he gets a game in the championship

He's completely past it.

You obviously didn't watch as much of the Socceroo's world cup qualification campaign as I did. If you want someone to bring on with 30mins left to grab a winner or rescue a draw, you can't go far wrong...the amount of times he did it for Australia was astounding.

I agree he's not the right player for the Blades & our new signings fit the Wilder/Knill mould way better but I reckon he could be a good super sub to help with Millwall's relegation battle.

He didn't fit in with Warren Joyce's plans at Melbourne City who is wanting to bring through young exciting talent, the latest being Daniel Arzani. A club owned by the City Group plans for the long term, Cahill was never going to feature in those plans but there are certainly clubs that could use him in the short term. He is very fit he could do a Teddy Sheringham, who knows?

Who was this against though, Papua New Guinea?

PNG are in the Oceania Confederation for WC qualification & Australia qualified through Asia so they don't play each other...good try though.

Here's a Cahill stat for you: if he scores in Russia this year he will have scored more goals than any Englishman at a WC finals except Gary Lineker. Currently on same as Geoff Hurst (5 goals)

I know one thing for sure... I'm hoping he's not in Millwall's side when they come to the Lane in April.
