A bad decision to play Fleck imo but Wilder obviously feels the need to play him.

Pearson doesn’t play for them which should give us a boost straight away, I fancy a 3 or 4-1 win to the Red and White Wizards.

Gutted Thomas hasn’t got a run out.

I was Hoping for a strong side as now derby distractions gone want to go as far as possible in fa cup & im glad wilder but a very Good team out in my opinion should be good enough to see us into 5th rd play like we know they can. Not like away game v preston

& the new arrivals in jan transfer window gives us the chance to be as strong as we bring in evans Leonard & Holmes if needed for villa on tuesday. The 1st 2 slotted in like they been here all season

it would suggest Thomas is lined up for a loan then

Wondering if todays appearance of Heneghan means CW wants to take a look at him before making a decision on whether to send him out n loan, as I'd heard he was no where near ready a while back

I wonder how the 3 CBs will play. I can't see any of the regularly bombing forward. I'd have probably thrown Slater in for Fleck. It's a team selection which screams happy if we win, not a problem if we don't. Which is fine by me.

Sharp should have ran to front post when Donno put it across and their lad nearly scored an own goal. He just hung at the back post like he didn't want it. Looks to be lacking in confidence to me.

Anyone know when the draw is for the 5th round? Been trying to find it on TV guide but to no avail, wonder if it might follow the Cardiff and Man City game tomorrow tea time?

It’s tomorrow at around 7.20pm, on the One show.

Tick

Tick

And tick

:D

Yes & no, T1889. Yes, you're 100% right about the three ticks; job done & onto Villa and the next round, but 'no' in respect that that level of performance was woeful from near enough our best 11. As bad as i've seen this season at home, by a long chalk. Lacking ideas, lacking leadership, lacking direction, sloppy passing, poor tempo, Sharp looking a spare part, etc. against as poor a side as i've seen. Preston appeared to be playing for the draw from kick off.

The game either offered an opportunity for basically the 1st 11 to keep up momentum & improve confidence or a the chance to put out a 2nd string and experiment. We've done neither, and although we've won, that will raise more questions than it's answered. Steve Bruce was at the match and he was perplexed as everyone else.

Well a win's a win but I'd prefer not to have to rely on looking for dubious penalties at best to win games. Bit disappointed to be honest and it was probably the most boring game this season and we've slipped in the league too  Bring on villa
