Leonard. He has consistantly performed every year for the last few years and even after having his head turned by us he continued to perform.

Lendog for me. I've read so much about him he's like family.

What are the chances of these 3 new lads being first choice before the end of the season?

He's probably got the wrong agent.

Yup, some tatty welsh lad from a dump like Newport is nowhere near as sexy as some Portuguese lad with a Brazilian like name.

I hope the whole house of cards thing comes crashing down at Wolves. This 'stupid money + superstar agent = success' thing shouldn't work for the good of football.

Come on Lee, pull some more of those funny Norman Wisdom faces and show the bastards!

One of the worst midfielders I’ve ever seen. Spent more time waving his arms around like he was trying to land helicopters....
I only mention him as I seem to remember it was about the most discouraging set of signings ever but the ITKers, kept saying 'keep the faith' in the knowledge our marquee signing was coming. It was James Harper and why wouldn't he have been a great signing? He'd been a fixture in a very good Reading side which had stormed the second tier and kept them in the Prem for a couple of seasons. I suspect the genius in the transfer market is knowing to move players on when they are declining but still have the kudos for somebody else to be happy to take them off your hands.
Keep the Faith!

Much needed depth to the squad has been added so I’m delighted with the additions. The bench today had a much healthier look with some real quality options to change things around. And we still have Brooks, Freeman and Chedwyn to come back this month as well. Very positive window for me

Really delighted with them all, for different reasons. And Saturday gave a glimpse of how valuable Leonard and Evans are likely to be. Holmes is exciting, can't wait to see him make his bow.

The one I reckon might take a little while to settle tho (&, if that's the case, I really hope he gets given some leeway, & folks don't start jumping on his back) is Ryan Leonard.

Reading many Southend fans' comments, a regular theme was that, for all his many excellent attributes (his physicality, dynamism, energy, etc), his technical ability was just a little bit lacking. In this he sounds a little bit Bashamesque, & no doubt it's something that CW, AK & the coaching staff will work with him on over time.

As I say, I hope with all the expectation surrounding him that he's not seen as having to be the "real deal" from minute one - that he gets appreciated for the positives he'll bring & accepted for the things he'll be looking to improve on.

You’ve got to feel for Lenny being asked out of the blue to play central midfield when we all know he was signed to play everywhere else but his usual position.

As for Wolves not wanting Evans, we would hardly ever sign a player if the opinion of the selling club were the test!
