Unless there's a big departure there can' be much left in the kitty so it' another loan or nobody.
Harley Dean at Brum is still my choice and with them in the bottom three he.must be gettable ?
Out for the season with an achilles injuryWould like us to look at Curtis Nelson
Is this the same kitty that meant we could only afford one permanent signing?

Get him while he's cheapOut for the season with an achilles injury
Hospital bills aren't cheap.Get him while he's cheap
Didn't realise, good player when fit though imoOut for the season with an achilles injury
I was thinking exactly the same. For all Basham's energy and enthusiasm, he never seems to have the ball fully under control and can't shoot. The thought of Leonard bombing forward is exciting. However, I have no idea if he can defend and that, first and foremost is the basic requirement of a centre back. When Bash is coming forward with the ball and making overlapping runs, he looks awkward as fuck and is rarely effective.
Leonard has the tools, he has the engine, he has the speed. He could be Basham but 10x better going forward.
I don't see this as the optimal solution, but it's an option and I don't see why it wouldn't work. In the system we play the better going forward our wide centre halves are the more effective we'll be.
How good is it that we're talking about our centre halves like they're fucking wingers.
he's great at cdm, i don't like him playing cbIf we are to move into top,6 and stay there Bash isntbgood enough I'm afraid. End of.
Just a crazy thought but perhaps we should let Lenny have half an hour or so in his accustomed position, where he has done rather well for a few years? Just to let him settle in at his new club, then we'll convert him into a deep-lying, false nine, underlapping, left sided forward-back with a free role.

What if they've chased him because he can play right centre back ?But why buy a midfielder that we've chased for 12 months and play him at CB? Round pegs in square holes should not be part of our game plan.
What if they've chased him because he can play right centre back ?
In the view from one of the Southend fans said his best position is right backHe's made his name in midfield, this is the position Sarfend fans wax lyrical about him. Would be a strange one for me.

Would they ?Then we wouldn’t have pursued the Blackburn right centre back Lenihan at exactly the same time. We’d be back in for him as well but for his serious injury.
Tufty and/or Lendog would have mentioned it by now, were he going to play in defence.
In the view from one of the Southend fans said his best position is right back
Our centre back plays like an inside wing back ,would be handy to have someone who could play defensive midfield ,right back and right centre backThat's not CB. And there's always one !
