The Agenda season is upon us, Bert. It will get a lot dafter than that...

The thing is that even though I’ve been more than critical of certain people in positions of power at the Lane in recent years, I’m more than happy with how things are, and have trust in Wilder, which I also think the board have as well.

If Wilder is happy with whoever he can bring him during the JTW window then I will be happy as well. The most alarming thing I’ve seen lately was the total overreaction from certain quarters who had been missing for 6 seasons during the wilderness years, when we finally hit a poor patch of form.

What money is that?

I think you're right Danny. I'm not optimistic on there being a sufficient budget to give us the best chance of getting in the playoffs. As you can guarantee our rivals will strengthen. Wilder in his latest interview said "he needs some help" in the transfer dealings which may be another hint on his budget after the previous one permanent and loans comment.

Also I hope Van Winckel will not piss Wilder off. Previously on the Alan Biggs show, the princes adviser suggested we need to look for value at non English players, which may be at odds with Wilders UK recruitment strategy. It needs to be totally Wilders choice.

We will know by the end of January.

Hasn't Bruce said Villa don't have any money to spend?

Not surprised as Bruce would waste it on some ex-Premier League players looking for a last payday with no re-sale value.

Whilst Chis Wilder would invest in good players, at a reasonable price with the right mentality with the probability of higher resale value. e.g. JO'C, Fleck, Stevens, Baldock. Not only increasing our chances of challenging for promotion this season but also increasing the value of our assets. He certainly wouldn't waste money for the sake of it.

Next season may be much more challenging with more ex PL teams with Parachute payments and teams knowing more about us.
