Praise and Grumble

Once every so often we have this same debate over Radio Sheffield and the same points are made! As others have said, if you don't want to listen then don't, but I don't think I need to be told I shouldn't be listening as they're biased. I've never noticed this, and although Rob Staton is likely to be a Wednesday fan, I still like him as a presenter and in my view Radio Sheffield do a great job on all the teams in the patch.

Don't listen that much these days tbf but in truth it was the pathetic regular callers that put me off rather than the presenters.

I have to say at the risk of annoying a few, that this obsession some have about every media outlet being biased against us, is borderline paranoia imho.

Personally I think all fans are the same, regardless of which team they support

Paul Walker’s a Blade. He’s also become one of the best commentators in football and it’s a matter of time before he’s on MOTD.

It shouldn’t preclude them working on the show, if anything they understand the ideosyncrasies of the South Yorks football scene better.

UTB & UTP&G

His oh my god oh my god moment was very biased and bloody brilliant.

Every football fan of every club thinks every pundit is biased against them. It's the whole point of football.

In small doses, I love praise or grumble. It's an ingrained part of being a fan in this area.

Yep this works for me, sadly the dose I like isn't always the first I listen to. If I'm in the car when it comes on I'll listen, the last time it started with Brian, then his counterpart from Rotherham, then another guy from Rotherham who spoke some sense.

You really are missing a treat. Last night had some 'first time caller' Wendys all crying into their tuna flakes.

Even the head of the NKT propaganda unit, Mick the Rawmarsh Pig, was on last night calling it the worst game he'd ever seen.

It really is pure comedy gold at the moment, apart from the silly Blade contingent who are already moaning that 2 days into the JTW, we haven't smashed the World transfer record.

I heard the 1st bloke on,he was almost in tears, superb listening

I think that was Mick the Rawmarsh Ranter, who loves the sound of his own voice and is not generally lacking in self-belief.

Last night though, he sounded like a broken man and it was wonderful to hear :-)

You have to have a heart of stone not to laugh at him.

Dunno but he needs to come up for air

He needs starving of it you mean.

The guy probably means well but you can tell he’s got some sort of self-importance about himself for whatever reason.

Loved the dolphin killer when he came in. Loved him even more at Wembley. Lost a bit of Pitsmoor love for him after the uddersfield fiasco and now has no idea what part of love he has. Carlos was the best since sliced bread. Then lost it. Fuck him anyway. Prison did him no favours. The education system needs an overhaul
