Bert was at both games so he is well aware who scored, however he looks on them as two separate games.

Bert is free to do as he pleases, as we live in a democratic free nation. However, I think Bert knew full well that I was referring to both games, as I also referred to PCR's 08/09 double, and that Bert tried to be patronising and go for a cheap laugh, and Bert now looks very silly.

You carry on adding up the scores from two separate games.
Bert had always thought that in 79/80 we lost away and drew at home to Wednesday but apparently we got stuffed 5-1 even though the Football League awarded us one point for that heavy defeat.

I will carry on doing what I want to do, posting what I want, as long as it is within forum rules. If you don't like this, if it offends you, alarms you, causes you to regurgitate your food, or any other ailment, then please feel free to put me on ignore.

I'm not counting any chickens whatsoever ahead of the 12th...it will be a tough game and anyone who thinks we are in for a straightforward glorious double is completely deluded and setting up the footballing Gods to come and kick us hard and square in the bollocks!

It goes without saying that the form book goes out of the window, not that, (results wise) either team is in good form at all. We are very inconsistent at the moment, good and average performances and mixed results....Wednesday appear to be in a complete mess both on and off the pitch but still managed to dick Forest 3-0 away...a lot could depend on whether they have appointed a new Manager before the game...the associated lift that can often give could be a major factor.

I'm not looking forward to it at all but then I never do!

Personally, I think it is easier to play well against a decent side, especially away as they want to win the game. At home, against poorer sides who come for a point it is so much harder to break them down a la Bolton. As long as we score an early goal, we ought to be ok, but until that final whistle goes.........

The double would be great, but as has been said, we shouldn't under estimate them. Mind you, I stayed up to watch the goals on Channel 5 last night......the first one for Burton, where their lad literally ran through five of their players to score, was laughable. Even funnier was Bullen's reaction afterwards, had me choking with laughter.

Lovely stuff.

"Let the boo's ring out, this Christmas"

We ruined their season on Bouncing day. It ripped the heart out of them, they never got over it and it wrecked their promotion aspirations. By the same token, if we beat them again as convincingly as last time, it would do the same again but make things even worse for them and put them firmly on the road to League 1. There's a lot more at stake for them in this match than they could ever imagine.

They relaunched HMS Piss the League after the Forest game though. Only for the bloke they call Agent Clough to hole them below the waterline.

So did Bert not join in the chorus of "5-1, we beat the scum 5-1" as we left Leppers Lane? If not, he was very much in a minority:)

The decision to extend it to 54 pages was a master stroke.

Chef says we're running out of "chicken", as he calls it, and there are no white polythene carrier bags left for the salt and pepper "squid special"

Yes i'm having a bit of trouble with the Chicken, this has almost nothing to do with the short supply of Cats near my house lately. Just tell him to do what he can and drown it in sauce.

And the bearded buccaneer was the captain of the ship that helped to sink it again don't forget!!

Incredible what can happen to a football club and its fans in the space of 4 months. Gone from smashing our league 1 bound pub team to now being scared of us.

I’m always the same before these games, can never be too optimistic because it’s a derby and anything can happen. All I know is that if we play how we last met ‘them’ and how we have been doing of late, it’ll give us the best possible chance to do the double. Can not wait for this game.

Said that at the time their season finished in September ,
Ya get no where on Pashun ,
and none of our players would still get into there team or squad
We Almost Won At Wembley wankers

An animal can be at it's most dangerous when it is injured, even a Pig.

Focus, do our job, see what happens. We are a better team, but we are also a better team than Bolton and that didn't end well. Lets not fall into their trap of thinking all we have to do is turn up.

Like they did 4 or 5 - 0 was the most quoted result according to them
Sir Chris , Sharpy , won’t let us get as delusional as them fuckers
Because let’s be right unless your spending 10 million on a striker you’ll end up with less points than Toytown
Although his value seems to be going down on football heaven I heard he’d only cost 6 million now

No chance of that happening under Wilder. Billy will be in the team for a start and no-one will be more fired up than him. The pigs will be blown off the park.

Unless they play like Bolton...

Unlikely... they're not as good as Notlob :p

What bothers me is the games we have lost were to lower placed clubs.

The problem is that we seem to be saving our best home performances for good teams like Wolves and Derby and struggling against shite like Birmingham and Bolton. The Pork definitely come under the shite category. :D

Unfortunately all the bollocks people spout about derbies often turns out to be true. If we put a proper shift in then I think we'll win a close one. But I'm basing that on them showing up and playing well and us being better.

Wouldn't be shocked if we were lacklustre a la Bolton either.

But I'm going for 2-1 with Billy getting an 88th minute winner in front of the Kop

You expect particularly lacklustre Billy to come on as a late substitute?
