Describing the two goal margin victory in September as a "massacre" has been a joke by United fans.
They were shit last time we played them, they are still shit. Their players are highly paid, and were brought in on wages out of balance to their ability. They kidded themselves that those players were genuine premier league class players simply because other clubs and the players agents had their pants down!
However. It’s a derby. We are out of form, can’t keep a clean sheet, still defend poorly on occasion and aren’t creating as many chances as we were earlier in the season.
So I wouldn’t be in any way confident we will beat them.
In fact, it’s more likely that a new manager will be appointed to give them the short term boost a new manager often does.
Let’s not go into this over confident like they did earlier in the season. Gonna be a close game, play like we did today and we will get a result.

Before we get carried away and start thinking we just have to turn up to win, remember we ourselves have only won one in the last ten and that was against the woeful Sunderland.
We still need the same focus and attitude we had in the game in September.
I'd say that derbies rarely go to form. I mean, who would ever have expected us to smash them 5-1 in 91/92, or for their rag tag outfit to complete a double over us in 08/09?
I think as fans, we need to guard against complacency. Remember how we mocked Parson Cross Rovers for their arrogance in the lead up to the massacre? I don't think Wilder will have that mentality anyway, he will desperately want the double and will stop at nothing to get it.
Must confess, I’ve had a peak at pork talk, and giggled like a girl at some of the pennies finally dropping.
The post..”the final straw” was a particular favourite.
However, still feel we will struggle to get the result even if we are by far the superior team. Hope I’m wrong, and that the twats sink into the relegation places over the coming weeks. Now that would be funny.
that was a great read that post! my favourite reply was the guy who said "Come on then genius what do you suggest we do"
