Writing this on the hoof (get it) as I listen so might make a few errors

Very frustrating, Got caught up in the way they play in the first 10 minutes

We know how they play. They smash it up to Madine and try and win a free kick. I'd prefer not to play that way

If they were as tactically good as they say they are they would have opened up 5 times today but it was nothing to do with them opening us up

Only one team in it after the goal. Dominated the game.

Madine was outstanding.

Our fans wouldn't want us to play the way Bolton do

We didn't have the quality. Had enough of the game, been good enough from box to box and conceded a rubbish goal.

When you have 4 or 5 good chances you have to take them at this level. We get into great positions but the final ball isn't good enough

When I look at other Championship games I think we are a decent footballing side

Birmingham 8/10 performance, Bristol 9/10, Sunderland 8/10, Bolton 8/10 and we have got 4 points. It's those things that might be the difference why we won't go up.

I know what I want to do January. We need clever players. We need sharper players.

We are the widest team in the league. We have pace in the team. This formation undoes teams willy nilly what we are lacking is the final bit. To get that though you know what needs to happen (Money)

Best team loss today. Only one team wanting to play football. Don't enjoy dominating games and not putting teams to bed

Can't remember anyone other than Brentford that have dominated us at home. It's bittersweet as we are top 6 but there is more we can do

CCV was taken off for tactical reasons. It was a risk playing Baldock with his injuries. Changed Clayton because he hasn't played much and didn't want him being out for a month along with George with their injury issues. Maybe made the wrong choice

Can't say Sharp isn't scoring due to lack of service. He didn't play well today. He's got 8 goals and had good periods. Leon hasnt been left out because his performances have been consistently good

Leon apologised after the game but thought overall he was very good

Bolton 9/10?
Did Chris just watch the same game as me?

And what pace do we have in the team apart from Baldock and Donaldson who isn’t actually rapid just quicker than the rest we’ve got.

He also sounds very bitter in the first few. Don’t like that, they deserved their goal. They were penning us in leading to the goal and for 15 minutes after.

I'd say Brooks is pretty quick...

Is he on drugs.??

Got to disagree with Wilder today. I've always said I'll ignore one bad result if I see a good performance but today was not a good performance.

Wilder got it wrong at the back and up front in my view (he corrected both as the game went on) but honestly I don't blame him because every single player I would've said you could rely on prior to the game let him down in some way. I think the blame for today can be fairly spread across the team.

We can scapegoat Carruthers for fun if we want because he was truly awful in his cameo. Credit to him for trying to make something happen but he reminds of that kid on the playground who thought he could do it all alone.

He’s not. He’s fast of thought and his feet are fast but he wouldn’t win a race against either Baldock or Donaldson. He isn’t slow mind.

Fair. However, I did agree with CW's point, that we tend to get undone against teams that park the bus, or at least sit deep... The pace wouldn't help against those. I would like more pace, but I do understand his point about needing sharper, quicker thinking players. Maybe a Ricky Holmes? A bit more flair, ability to run past/through players.

No way was today a 9/10 performance though.

it was a Warnock type interview, didn't agree with some of what he said. We started rubbish , and never got up to speed from there. Although t think a draw would have been fair

Sitting near the dugouts it's easy to see Wilders reactions to what's happening on the pitch and him going mental when the players aren't following his instructions. Didn't see a great deal of that today, which brings me to my point. Sharp didn't have a good game. However, first half all we did was knock long balls up to him in the air. He's going to struggle. I was surprised at his selection today and take on board Chris's comments about Donaldson an injuries but picking Billy to start when we were playing it long in the air seems odd.

Glad Giddings stuck up for him when Eckington Blade formerly Blackpool Blade but always boring started to go down the "not good enough for this division" route.

Was it Sean ( Up and down like a yoyo depending on the result) who doesn't seem to think penalties shouldn't count now as well? Did he think that last season?

Where does 'found out' come from? It's not like we were blasting teams 6-0. I think our levels have dropped. Stevens only looks backwards wheres he was offering a forward option/pass to O'Connell every time. Bash has played too many positions. Our midfield lacks the physicality it had. I don't see how teams are playing us differently (But id be happy for someone to explain the different tactics we are seeing other than Bolton defending deep)

Not often I disagree with Chris but I didn't see an 8/10 performance today, nothing near it.

We looked leggy at times, were sloppy in possession and bereft of movement and ideas. We also let Bolton bully us, Madine terrorised our backline and here I do agree with Chris, he was probably the best player on the pitch. Believe me it is painful to type those words!

Probably the worst performance I have seen during his tenure since Rochdale at home last season; I didn't go to the Southend debacle fortunately.

Worryingly our lack of numbers gives few options to change things up in a small recovery window before Derby.

We were clearly better at football, but we didn't deserve to win. One of those days.

It's time we accept that we're a decent Championship side with a lack of depth, which makes us prone to dodgy results.

We've probably been the 6th best team in the league so far.

Things are at worst absolutely fine. It was a bit shit today though.

Particularly first half, they played a high defensive line, the midfield sat defended deep in front of the back for and stifled our midfields attacks until late in the game.

The best player on the pitch was Madine.

Got to admit we weren’t good today but still didn’t deserve to loose. Ref was a total wanker he allowed them to bully us, and we weren’t strong enough to stand up for ourselves.
The quality of our final ball was poor and we missed some guilt edged chances
Just knew weren’t going to get anything out of the game today, l always had that feeling with them having not won away all season.
Typical United loosing to one of the shitest teams in the league.
What makes it worse is that cunt scored.
The only silver lining the porkers lost as well.

Personally I think Wilder got it wrong today to accomadate Bash CCV should have made way, Bolton are awful and we made that kunt Madine look half decent....Carruthers ain’t good enough and as much as I like Billy Sharp he ain’t good enough at this level we need to put sentiment aside UTB

Great summing up mate.

Nothing to moan about in the grand scheme of things but a few got carried away with our start and now think teams like Bolton don't have a right to beat us because of their style of play.

It's like listening to Pigs and Man U fans with a few.

Did he actually say we were 9/10 today?!! If so, he needs glasses!

He said 7 or 8 out of ten. I'd ay it was more like 6, but he's the manager, I don't want him lambasting the players with a defeat, they gave their all, we weren't good enough, largely because we didn't take our chances.

You get the impression that Tufty and Parkinson are no longer friends from the interview!
