Sharp & Brooks....

Sam Morsy?,who I have just seen coming out of Eadon,Lockwood and Riddles city centre branch with a fistful of leaflets

Does he look like he's heading to Shirecliffe?

Follow him but try not to look suspicious. You've seen The Bill, so keep hiding behind bus stops and stuff.

Report back when you have further and better particulars and do not cock this critical mission up.

He's just turned into Stumperlowe Lane

Fred is a seven foot two transvestite with one leg, a wolf on a rope and a Teketubbies back pack. May be difficult.

Promotion to the PL could make them money. Stopping in the Champuonship will cost them money.

So obviously, yes, they'd much rather stay in the Championship.......

Take your point re PL could make them money. However, it could cost them millions, McCabe dodged the bullet and showed his colours last time we got to the PL. he tried to consolidate and wait for the money to roll in from PL payments and we all know that ended :(

Think HRH would like it to happen but think for McCabe the status of owning a football club and the connections for his property businesses is more important than risking his pot on making a success of sufc.

Long term, no. Short term, yes.

We already know the boards target this season was consolidation. That was understandable and a very realistic/fair target in the summer. As far as that target goes, we’re well on the way to acheiving it; I still think even if we finished 10th-14th the board would see this season as a roaring success- maybe they would be right?

Clearly that's what has been budgeted for. The issue for me is that we seem incredibly slow to react to circumstances. Its one thing to have long term plans, but if there was ever a time to “seize the day”, SURELY this is it? Nobody is talking about chucking millions at it- but the fact that we are in with a shout of top 6; we have also unexpectedly lost a key player. Surely we should be looking at replacing Coutts PROPERLY (the right loanee could work here), and adding a bit of quality to have a good go.

That may all happen of course; we cant judge properly until Feb 1st. But the fact that we are looking like comfortably acheiving our pre-season target within budget, paired with our previous history doesnt leave me with much confidence.

Hope I’m wrong.

It’s a YES and a NO from me

YES they want to get us up to the Premier

NO they don’t want to fully fund it

That’s the impression I get hopefully January will be positive but don’t hold your breath

If we went up next year we would have to throw a shed load of money at staying up. And we are not talking thousands either. Look at Bolton...they threw money at trying to stay up and now have a massive debt which will hand around their necks for years.
I personally hate everything that the Premiership stands for but am realistic to admit that that is where any football team should aspire to be. Are we ready? We have a good stadium and the appointment this week could widen our scouting prospects because we need to look at the wider picture where playing staff are concerned .
So I'm sure that the Premiership is our ultimate goal but we need to make sure that we have everything in place to avoid failure and massive debt.

Don't think they are content with the Championship, but they don't seem to be fully committed to getting out of it either.
Its quite the conundrum.

More pressingly, DO YOU THINK McCABE AND THE PRINCE HAVE ANY MONEY??

No signs so far!!

He's just turned into Stumperlowe Lane

Hmmmm, deepest darkest Fulwood and of course CW lives on Tom Lane.

Good work Agent Tunstall, you can stand down now.

Dean Hammond was 5'10" and 12 stones but he managed to make himself completely invisible, so it shouldn't be too diffcult for a 7'2" bloke to hide a bit.

What are the Teketubbies? Is this more yoof kultur that I've missed?

FFS, you'll be telling me that Cliff and the Shadows are no longer top of the Hit Parade, next!
