I would hope so. Without doubt Stearman can bring the ball out of defence where Jake doesn't but I get an uncomfortable feeling about Stearman and agree with deadbats assessment of him. i think we found that bashams best position was a marauding right cb of a back 3 at the same time joc developed into the marauding left side equivalent which balanced around steady eddie wright in the middle.. ccv can’t play the right cb role he isn’t offensive enough.. bash can plug a gap at rb but it isn’t his natural position.. we’re putting square pegs in round holes

He does need a break I think, looked nervy ever since that howler against Fulham.

A back three is a difficult role to play, not everyone is suited to it, last season we lucked onto three players who it suited perfectly in JOC, Wright, and Basham.

I think when Wilder signed Stearman and CCV I think he was expecting to be playing a back four in quite a few away games this season.

Not Bashams bigest fan but get him back into that back three now.
