Terrace last night

Sorry if it’s been discussed elsewhere I can’t find a thread on it but was anyone else on here actually physically unable to get on the terrace last night?! What on earth was that about did they oversell it or something?? As usual we were just presented with a load of shoulder shrugging from police and stewards and blamed for turning up too late or the fans on the terrace were blamed for not moving forwards as there was “Loads of room at the sides at the front” apparently.

I was eventually allowed to go through the gate at right hand side and access from the front by a decent steward quite a while after the first goal. There didn’t look like there was loads of room at the front sides when I got in.

We were about 20 yards to the right of the goal and it was pretty packed. Part of the problem was that the terracing isn’t very steep and people are worried about blocking others views. Quite simply the ground wasn’t built with the view to it ever being full

To be honest we were in the middle behind the goal and there were quite a bit of room near us. We wondered if everyone had chosen to go to the sides?

At least it's got terracing but it really is a shitty little ground.

If you're building a low capacity ground with small stands then at least...

1. Raise the front row above pitch level
2. Build the stands at a steep rake

But I guess that's too much to ask of these brilliant stadium designers.

The last two away games; at QPR and Burton; the toilet facilities (size and amount provided) has been totally unacceptable and border line dangerous. At both games it has been ridicolous really.

Cardiff's were amazing - spacious and 2 large toilets.

Definitely best I have been to outside the Prem.

In reply to the OP it was packed on the terrace last night, but I bet you saw all the goals, I got to see 1 out of 4. Saw Billy's pen opener, at the bog when they equalised and before I'd got back we'd gone back in front. Second half, went to the bog again, just got on concourse level where I could see Blades fans at the entrances "yes, go on, yes" oh no we're going to score here and yes I've missed another goal.

I was sat in the stand and a steady flow of blades were moved into the empty seats, one or two complained of ticketless blades climbing over the fence to get in. I’m not sure if that was the reason for it being so packed but I found it strange that Burton had left so many seats unsold in the stand, almost as if they knew they would have too many fans behind the goal.

It was like that vs. Wimbledon last season. Loads were sat on the wall just so they could see.

Fuck me, I've just seen pictures of their stadium, it's a reight shitpit. Apparently only holds just under seven thousand. They'll be fucked if they ever reach the Premiership. I suppose that's why they got Clough in though, so they don't have to worry about it.

I thought I'd bought a seat. Then when I get to the turnstile I say to the bloke, "there's no seat number on this ticket, it's just letters - is it sit anywhere policy" and he says, "No, it's all standing".



I got in late but fortunately I squeezed in at the back and had a good view of the game and got out first at the end. Beat the traffic out the car park. Had a delicious pint of beer on the way home at the fantastic Holly Bush at Makeney (now that's confused some of you eh?) and was tucked up at home in bed with the hairy missus by 11.20pm.
