Tell me how.
And he's got his eyes closed. Wasn't even fucking looking where his studs up challenge was going. Twat.
Mate, I don't doubt for a moment Paul has at least a tib fracture, and probably fib too. But I'm equally sure that Sordell was neither malicious nor reckless, despite those awful photos.
I too have had a double fracture as a result of a tackle (1974), was out 8 months.
Maybe so nowadays, but that one is in the perhaps it might category.Broken legs rarely end careers.
I have never seen a player try to block a shot by pointing his studs towards an opponent.
Hoping it just the tib but you might be right, prob be season over for him .with the angle of his leg I wouldn't be surprised if its a double lower leg fracture. feel bad for him and the team. and myself![]()
I suppose you’d like to think that, but in my experience, even in a split second, when you’re playing football, you know exactly where your foot is going to make contact with your opponent.
That doesn’t mean he intended to inflict such serious damage, but sorry I don’t buy your misjudgement theory either.![]()
Cross wires mate...Oh I agree with you on the sordell front.
I thought you was alluding to coutts injury not being bad.
Likewise, think was nine. Though these dudes get much better care,
Well it won’t end his career
You can`t be sure with an injury that bad, in spite of the wonders of modern medicine.Well it won’t end his career
Late, high and OTTIt's a still photo ffs! He could have blinked!
Coutts eyes are also closed, it's just because they both are aware that impact is possible/imminent.
What's this bollocks about a "striker's challenge" like that justifies such a mistimed monstrosity?Cant blame sordell for this imo.
Saw it at full speed on I follow - Coutts took a shot / sordell tried to block with a strikers challenge and they connected with the force of coutts shot.
Just awful horrific bad luck but not an over the top challenge or anything malicious . One of those unfortunate things which has hit our most pivotal player. But hopefully we can struggle through and look to replacements in jan if lundstram / basham / whoever. don't quite cut it.
Tell me how.

Yeah 10 seconds each, on your phone, easy. What's best way to send em to you Foxy?
Don’t know if Couttsy will be reading this, but if you are here’s a massive thank you for what you’ve done for the team. I wish you a speedy recovery and can’t wait to see you in a Blades shirt again.
just when I thought I couldn't HATE that fucking cunt Clough anymore.
.
What’s Clough got to do with it?
Well done on the apology. ISCSorry mate but you got both barrels as I didn't want to see a multi page thread, speculating on which leg may or may not need to be amputated.
I agree completely with your sentiment.
Let's hope it's better than it looks.
There is honest contact and there is clumsy, dangerous, high and reckless. Yes I want to vilify the c*nt.It happened at full speed he was cms from getting the ball. He dangeled a leg to get a block like a striker trying to defend.
If you want to vilify him go for it - was nothing more than one of those things that can happen in contact sport (imo)

Cross wires mate...
Plainly serious from the still shots.
Yep, hopefully these days it will be a lot quicker cos Paul Coutts is the one we least needed getting a serious injury
