Around February this year, before we were promoted, I betted with two Wednesday mates that we'd be in the Premiership before Wednesday. They each offered £25, and were taking the piss quite a bit.

Not assuming anything, but needless to say they're not laughing so much at the moment.

I have an acca of (all four division winners)

Man U
Blades
Shrewsbury
Exeter

We were 33/1 to win league at the time, about 7/1 now I think.

Man U looking a bit doubtful now (8 points behind Citeh) but rest doing ok.

Pays out at (holds breath) 65K

Pity you didn't have Man City instead of Man Utd.

I've actually got another one which is
Man C
Leeds
Bradford
Mansfield

5k if it wins (?)

Cash out 20p

I might be wrong but I don't think any team has ever got in the play-offs in three consecutive seasons either.

Not in the second tier anyway.

Ipswich, Leicester and Tranmere have done this in the second tier. Ipswich did 4 years in a row (1997-2000).

Lincoln have the record. They reached the playoffs in league 2 five years in a row at one point.

I had a bet with an Arsenal supporting friend in March that in 6 years we would be above Arsenal in the table. He laughed gladly accepted the bet. Last week he wasn’t laughing quite as much and actually felt that I had conned him in some way.
The odds are still heavily stacked in his favor but it is not impossible.
Who else has made some crazy Blades related bets recently that don’t look quite as crazy now?
Will there be any major changes in the ‘football hierarchy ‘ in the coming years and who?[/QUOTE
Don't think you'll win your bet, I reckon we could easily find ourselves above the Arse in a lot less than 6 years!

I placed £1290.23 bets on Blades to win the league looking at £23650 if we do.(£1000 was e/w) . More satisfying was I struck the bets in June fully 2 months before a ball was kicked. Why wouldn't you after we demolished MK away and a dozen other sides. I never accepted La Liga pig propaganda. Obviously I'm still more likely to lose than win but plenty would like to be sitting on that bet.
By the way I financed it from winnings on Trump and Brexit.
