I’m pretty certain I saw him play but I’m almost certain this was a reserve game and not a league match so your point would make sense..

Yeah that was him. Seem to remember him being highly rated when we signed him, but cannot remember ever seeing him play (you might be right about him playing in the reserves, would make sense). I seem to remember us trying to sign a Greek striker at the same time, but he didn't fancy Sheffield (cannot remember his name).

Even back then I used to holiday often in Greece and I can remember that summer that all the Greeks were far more animated about Markos than they were about Borbokis or Donis but I have no recollection of him ever arriving at BDTBL.

He definitely was the one with the big reputation in Greece though.
