Can't see anywhere on here where I've asked if CW will go. Merely will Sunderland make an official approach.

Everton interested in Wolves manager...which proves they're looking in this division. :p Stays he wants to stay at Wolves.

yes such a draw going to a club sat at the bottom with a shit squad and no money to spend
a team thats been going backwards for 3 years

hed be mad not to go

I honestly can't believe that he left PNE for Sunderland. Everyone knew that the owners wanted to sell, they were in debt, had a shocking overpriced team and they had the wrong type of momentum.
Can anyone tell me why he thought it was a step up? Just because they HAD big crowds doesn't mean jack!

They seemed happy enough with him in August. :)

More money? There are a lot of cash driven managers out there.

It's a chance to go to a club, get them in the PL and keep them there. Most managers are confident and think they can do a job under difficult circumstances. He's not going to be offered too many opportunities to go to a club of Sunderland's size so he took it.

I'm not sure why they think they're going to get someone any better though now they're at the bottom of the league and have shown they have no patience. I doubt even Carlost would go there.

born in Ripon so no affinity to PNE. Probably offered £20k pw on a 3 year contract. If he's successful he's in the prem with, in fairness, a decent size club. If he fails he gets sacked, with a pay off covering his £3mil contract.
nope, don't get it either.....

There's only one manager who could get Sunderland out of the shit they're in and that's Neil himself. However, he's sitting pretty at Cardiff at the moment. But if they offered him a load of money...

Not sure he would at his age. Cardiff isn't too far from Cornwall and he's got a good thing going there.

I think they'll end up with Lee Clarke. That bloke's got a better agent than Michael Appleton.

Fair point, but sackings don't look good on the old CV.
Maybe i'm being naive

Through is wilder could get a bag of ferrets playing football, cause they'll be thinking about it.

depends on the motives.
He left Blackpool for Leeds but got sacked. Then sacked by Huddersfield, got the PNE job only to take Sunderland job - got sacked.
maybe he's man enough to realise his level is blackpool/PNE - so given the opportunity of Sunderland grabbed it... then were back to the hero or £3mil in the bank.
and in the real world your not naïve, but this is football. for example.....
Gareth Southgate -
Mid'boro -sacked following relegation,
England u21's -finished last in group at 2015 euros
- promoted to England full side
Sam allerdyce - sacked by England, currently on list for Everton or USA.
Roy Hodgson - Liverpool - sacked
England. - resigned before been sacked following disastrous euros
gets job back in prem.

it's a bonkers world, just hope CW keeps his head together and emulates Alex Ferguson, he could reign here for 20years i reckon.

Why thank you. Crab Football Solutions (a division of Crab Industries) like to make their clients feel valued. Lee is a shoe in for the job*

*In the event he doesn't get it, Crab Airlines need Cabin Crew for its popular new routes flying over Russian missile batteries, Lee's cheerful Geordie stylings will go over well if (by if I mean when) a stray missile takes the plane out.

In football management, sackings are like a badge of honour. Why do you think Steve Cotterill keeps getting work ;)

I'm not worried about Wilder going to Sunderland but it's looking like Zidane might get the sack.

and on that point, Kane, Alli or Pochettino could probably double/treble their wages at PSG or Man. City but show no signs of moving. It's about 14 months since we lost at Millwall. CW's post-match interview showed a man under severe stress - the kind of stress he'll never get at BDTBL. He's going nowhere but up with the Blades.
