From what I've heard he enjoys coaching kids. I think if he does his badges he may end up at the academy to start with.

He was very intelligent with his output without the ball. Letting Clarke (whom was excellent) press the forward line, Sharp was holding the lines and positioning himself in awkward places to maximise Clarke’s closing down. The number of times Sharp was blocking a defender’s escape route when Clarke was forcing the issue, was too often not to be by design.

The reason Billy is so good is the same reason that Sir Chris is, and that’s because they are us. Billy is a Blade, he knows what we are going through just as the bloke that sits next to you all season knows it, Sir Chris know it in the same way the woman that sits a couple of rows behind you knows it. Billy Sharp isn’t the fastest, the most technical, the tallest, whatever, but he’s got the experience and the know how to get himself in the right place at the right time, and that’s worth a lot. I bloody love him, and you can see how much he loves being a Blade when a goal is scored, either by himself or any one of the team.

Be fair – regardless of Adkins’s time with us he’s had a big impact on helping shape Sharp’s career over the years. I’m also not convinced any other manager we’d have appointed that summer would have gone after Sharp, given it very likely restricted who else he could bring in that window/season. I’m particularly relieved he did though.

He played excellently on fri, though he should have had 3. Fantastic anticipation and movement for the goal and the other two chances he missed. He really tired in the second half but having Brooks to bring on made up for it.
