I’ve been there a few times without any problem it all.

Once, unless I imagine it, the crowd was under 10,000? Statto alert...

Wasn't the one where we sent them Peter Withe on loan and he bagged a couple was it?

I remember this game, they brought about 10k to Sheffield, a night match, we was already relegated, they stayed up that night and wolves went down as Liverpool beat wolves to win the old Division 1 (now the Premiership for you young uns). Lots of fighting on the Kop that night. Also if I remember rightly it was on the news Liverpool fans smashed the gates down at wolves that night and stormed the away end.

They're a dirty, horrible lot.
I sat on G/H block a good few seasons ago when they beat us at BDTBL - that Adam Rooney scored 1 or 2 for them. I remember them singing the "Sheffield's a shit-hole - I wanna go home" song and I thought then it was never more inappropriate for a group of fans to sing that song. What a dump.
England's 2nd city? Bollocks - a 9.0 magnitude earthquake would do £10 trillion of improvements to it.
Birmingham - a city full of people with bits missing.

They may be a horrible lot - as you put it - but your comments about the centre of Birmingham are complete bollocks. Birmingham centre is a great place, and gets better every year. The square with the new library, convention centre and symphony hall in (Victoria Square) is brilliant and the canal basin along to the Indoor Arena is spectacular on a summer evening. They made huge mistakes with the centre of Brum in the 60’s, just like us, but they have made a really good job of sorting it since then.

Lots going up, no one takes over London Road. ;)

The ones coming up for the bother probably won’t have got tickets for it, they sold out pretty sharpish.

There could be a few reporting to the police station on match days after this game. :D

It must be exciting for them right now, spunking all that money on Jota and loads of others. Which has allowed them to crawl out of the bottom three.

Difficult to compete with these fashionable La Liga moneybags types.

There seemed to be rather a large hooligan element of their support gathered at Millwall, and I'm expecting the same when they come here. Maybe we are on their wanted list ?
.

That haven't met our Lord of the Flares though have they?

Yet a few were lauding them on Jim White Day....

That was against us at The Lane mate. Still worse he knocked ‘em past Hansbury, on loan to us from them.

Wouldn’t happen under Tufty and One Knill...

Oh and why hasn’t anyone mentioned the fact they’re coming to see a top of the table side playing excellent football...of course they’ve sold out!!

Birmingham is the most boring place on earth

Who mentioned city centre? Was talking generally about the whole place. The odd pleasant building in the centre is a small part of the big picture - especially when they’re surrounded by street drinkers, beggars etc.
That’s how I see it anyhow.

I thought the only things in Birmingham were Cadbury World, Aston Villa and Birmingham City?

Watch out for the razor blades stiched into the peaks of their caps......Sneaky bastards

My prediction is that London Road will be a repeat of ‘98 if they’re traveling up in numbers.
was that the year they smashed up Barrys bar at 430 when all that were in was a few old boys?
seem to recall one of them "fell" off the tower block down there??
proper bell ends.

No idea about any of that. Just remember it being chaos around there and down to where the Sheldon? use to be.

So if SY Police got wind of planned trouble at this game, especially when fans can spend all afternoon boozing could they change the kick off time or would they have to obey Sky's command like the rest of us have to?

Numerically, They are probably (by a distance) the poorest supported club in the land as a percentage of population?

Well, when your only crowning achievement was winning the League Cup in the 60s and your neighbours have been champions of Europe, you're gonna struggle to get a fanbase.

They do have Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood though.
