Despite his natural position considered to be in defence or midfield, Sheffield United's Greg Halford started Saturday's game with Hull City as a forward. He promptly scored a lovely header to give United the lead and once Chris Morgan went off injured, Halford then moved back to central defence and played really well – even though he also had to go off the pitch for a while with a head injury and came back on wearing a Terry Butcher-style bandage.

Although doesn't anyone think the prize is a bit pointless? I'm sure they could afford to go to the final if they really wanted to
