No not a Phil Parkinson team talk, more a reflection that for the second week running both me and the boy have been up just after 6am giddy with excitement for the day ahead!

Dare I use the word 'bounce' to describe what Sir Tufty has brought into our lives??

Probably best not to, I guess!

yep I'm up and looking forward to the game, what a difference from a year and a half ago. It was becoming a chore to go to the match for me back then. We are in very good times at the moment. To have a team that's all together and fighting for every ball is a joy. And the quality of football aint that bad either!

Can't make it today and I am absolutely gutted. In fact I have never felt this pissed off at the thought of missing a game before. The Tufty Effect is strong.

Just got on the train up to London full of expectation I’ll soon be watching a side that will give it’s best and play good football be it win, draw or lose.
So much better than previous seasons when I regarded most trips as a waste of money and another whole day wasted.
Thank you Mr.Wilder and Mr.Knill.

If I had one you'd be welcome to it mate. Found out 10 days ago that events were conspiring against me before I purchased.

:(

Ta mate, you're a good 'un. I'm actually missing it myself as things stand. It's my weekend to look after my mum. There's still a slim chance I'll get someone to sit in with her for a couple of hours, but looking like having to make do with a dodgy stream at the moment!

That's what it's all about. We're not even demanding a win, as long as they give their all and we see a good game.

I’m nearly 50.
My son’s nearly 27.
Yesterday we were talking on the phone like 2 giddy kippers about match day!
What’s the side? What’s the score? Where we’ll meet up etc etc.
Good times indeed - and Strongbow on draught at the Lane!!
Am I in heaven?

I'll be 78 next month. I don't think I've been so excited about the Blades since I was 8 years old!

I love that shirt Vintage - memories of my youth.
And Bob Hatton.
Yes Bob(bum trick)Hatton was magic,
Bob invented twerkin,he would take the pace out of on oncoming ball with a deft touch of his arse, beautifully bringing said ball under control
and many a time he had the whole of the kop rising to it's feet as he took the ball to the byline on the left wing where he would skin many an
opposing player with a beauty of a Cruyff(can't spell it)turn and deliver a pin point cross.......brilliant,he also scored a few, good old Bob,
great memories.

I'm only 62 next month but this season really has the feel of 70/71 about it, but with bells on.

I don't know if that's because we've waited so long for it or because we're actually better than that promotion team.

Whatever it is I'm loving it.

Where do you think Dalglish learnt to use his arse into opposition players :D

I was living abroad in 1970/71 so, sadly, I missed the Tony Curry era.
Last season was exciting, but a bit tense since promotion was a "must". This season we can just enjoy it and take whatever comes.

Wasn't the Kop already on its feet......?

Can't make it 7 others and take my old mum along as well can you pal? :D

I used to dread coming to the lane when Adkins was in charge because I knew there wouldn't be any effort and when we went 1 nil down, we'd shut up shop and go for the loss.

What a complete transformation In the last 18 months. Quality football and a fantastic management team in wilder/knill. Don't mind the 4 hour round trip to watch my beloved blades. Wilder is a genius and should be knighted in the queens New Years honours list for saving the lives of all blades supporters everywhere. In wilder we trust. UTB
