Any chance of an update on the mind the gap standings ? All gone well for us today sounded like we missed coutts a little but great win UTB

8 points.

Tough game for them next week, away at Derby. Null points , gap becomes 11 after 13 games.
UTB

i don't see how carlos sees the season out for that lot. as im stunned they could be so shocking to lose to that bolton side. just looking at some stats from bolton match
  • pre match - 2pts from 11 games
  • had lost every home game this season
  • last time bolton avoided defeat was 15th august
  • they hadnt scored a league goal since 19th august
  • & only bolton 3rd home league win since 18th March

Should have learned our lesson with this mind the gap nonsense.

Agreed. Would like us to stop this "mind the gap" nonsense after every game.

We have bigger things to achieve this year than being above that shower of shite from across the city. In fact, the one thing that might hold us back is being concerned about them and the constant references to them.

Lets just focus on us and getting promoted.

On the other hand, no let's not. Let some of us have a bit of fun with the unclean by poking fun at them after listening to their constant rattle for the best part of 6 years whilst they kept reminding blades that we played in a pub league or were gunna get mullered when we joined the big boys in la liga. It's all a bt of fun and that's all - it's called banter. You give it out, and you take it back. Just enjoy the good times and stop fretting about how it might go wrong and they might fire back some banter. If it does, it does, but rest assured there is absolutely diddly squat what me, you and the tea lady will have said or done on here or in the pubs / work places where we have contact with the unclean, that will effect such a turn of events. We are fans of a club, nothing more. Now if someone within the club was saying things then that's different and i would agree with you as that could potetially inspire others or put pressure on our own. But they aren't. It's just some blades fans enjoying the good times, giving out the banter and so they should.

And by the way, just how does this 'focus on us and getting promoted' bit work? Do I need to be 100pc focused on this to give us a chance of doing well / promotion, or if I'm not, will I be the one who ends up costing us potential promotion? Do I need to cut out other things in my life to be 100pc focused on this issue? You see, I was just thinking that many of us (myself included) just went along to games and watched the football. I didn't realise we were out there getting the goals and putting in the tackles ourselves. I tend leave that to the employees of the club to do that on my and the clubs behalf.

So in the meantime, I will continue to let the players do what the players get paid to do, CW and AK to manage the thing, whilst I will enjoy the season as a fan and won't worry excessively about the whole thing. Life's to short to not enjoy the good times and I for one will continue to have the banter with my wendy supporting acquaintances both now in the good times and in the rest of times. The day i stop laughing at them is the day I've passed away. Now, what's that gap looking like like right now....snigger.

I bet those long winter night's in your house just simply fly by. Are you a stern headmaster for a living? Is having a bit of banter with our wendy mates a guilty secret I should hide away...akin to me being a 13 year old boy again with a penchant for masterbation.

Some people need to lighten up from the 'we shouldn't say this or say that as it will come back to bite us on the arse' nonsense. Stop being so insecure and if you are, stop telling others what they should or shouldn't do.

Nurse do you have anything for HMS p1ss the league delusional syndrome

Not looking at our own form but just theirs:

They currently have 16 points from 12 matches. 1.33 points per game if you will.

For them to average 2 points per game which we are, means getting 76 points from 34 matches. That’s 2.23 points per game for the remainder of the season. That’s a helluva ask for a team who just gave Bolton their first win.

I womder if their Premiership Return tickets are still on sale...

What is funny is that most wendies are still thinking along the lines of 'if we don't hurry up we won't walk it to promotion and will have to settle for a play off'.

Fuk me sideways. Even with all the evidence starting to mount and being as clear as day, they still haven't worked out that they are a very bang average championship team and bang average squad - but massively (love that word) overpaid one at that.

It's took the duluded twats long enough to realise that Carlos the Cackle wasnt actually a Portuguese footballing Napoleon but is in fact a rambling mediocre idiot. Hes a nice enough geezer though and screws up 20 quid notes so I suppose he's a managerial genius after all.

I always thought he was going to get found out eventually and unfortunately they are just catching on to reality now. Still hes had their pants down for nearly 3 years or so. Let him stay where he is I say. I like him. Hes spent a shit load of cash on transfer fees and wages and achieved absolutely bugger all except dressing room and terrace unrest. Hes doing a grand job ;)

Absolutely right. There’s this huge, daft imperative on here that we don’t say anything that “makes us sound like the Pigs” such that we don’t say anything at all.

I say the Bouncing Day Massacre means This City is Ours, massively so.

Eight points, isn’t it?...

The 'BoUnCiNg Day Massacre' now that's what I call things coming back to bite them in the bum, love it, will use it relentlessly. That said the piggies I know get wound up by me not gloating, just smiling :)

On the fence with this one. For me, giving it out about the Bouncing Day Massacre is entirely different to saying Mind The Gap after every win. The former is etched into history and even a loss for at the lane doesn't change that. The latter can realistically change and I can't ever bring myself to take the piss out of pig mates with 'insults' that can come back and bite me in the backside. I've been a Blade far too long for that.

I don't think anyone quite realises the enormity of the Bouncing Day Massacre. We've totally fucking destroyed their season.

Not quite. The pigs are on the same points as Leeds had last season. Leeds finished seventh. Loooong way to go. Who knows? They could sack Clueless Carlos and get a decent manager.

There were 'Bouncing Day Massacre'scarves on sale outside the ground and Mr. McCabe was photographed holding one up prior to KO yesterday in the directors box.

They lose to a team twice that up until yesterday only managed two points and then after the game chief grunter talks about promotion. As the dust settles after The Bouncing Day Massacre it is clear that this over paid team is struggling big time. Let's enjoy whilst we can.

At least they’ve played the mighty Bolton twice now and don’t have to endure another embarrassing defeat by them.... on hang on a minute

sorry but 'f*ck that'
after all the shit we've put up with from them recently i'm milking this for all it's worth mate :D

Oh I agree, it's not looking great for them, and looking rosy for us.

However.... when we were 5 points clear, had 2 games in hand, and still had them to play, it was looking quite rosy too!

They dined out on "mind the gap" for a long time, still do!

So we should be full of Bladey humility and let them make all the running as we’ve always done?...

As super_pig says, fuck that.

This City is Ours (another one we started then meekly let them appropriate).

I've no Idea what "Bladey humility" is. I know it's an obsession of yours.

Failing to shout long and loud all that is good about our fantastic club, for fear of ‘sounding like the Pigs’ is one key aspect.

Cap-doffing nonentities like Brentford is another.
