Third time lucky, could've done it with Norwich and Forest I think. Let's do it this time.

UTB

Said it before, I've given up trying to assess what this team is capable of. A year and a bit since it started, and we are still rolling. Would anyone really be surprised if we ended up top tomorrow night ? Exciting, crazy, fabulous times.

Yup on August 20th last year, we'd just lost at Millwall and got one point out of the first 12. The next game (Oxford at home) we went in at HT 0-1 down. The astonishing crowd was 19,313. The rest is ever-developing history. If any set of fans deserved success, it's us.

Whatever that half time team talk was, it's still reverberating round the changing room.

Loving this journey.

I'm sure we all are, SJ. I wonder what this team would be like with a certain 'jug-eared idiot' (who scored for Birmingham last night and is their leading scorer...) playing up front.

Moot point as Jugs was never a Wilder type.
He couldn't pass the 15 point character check that Wilder and Knill use to establish if a player will fit into the group ethos.

Sat down for my breakfast this morning, looked at the paper, got myself another industrial strength coffee - I then sat down again to look at the forum, wondering “I wonder if some twat has bolloxed our chances today by posting that we could go top for several hours”

:)

T’owd Hitler tache still wouldn’t start for us. According to sources very close to CW, far too lairy for his own good.

Contrary to folklore, witchcraft, black magic, or any other form of superstition, talking about what could happen in a factual way has no impact whatsoever on whether it happens or not. It doesn't make it more or less likely. Only primitive people, with low intelligence, believe in such things.

So we could be top today for a couple of hours, or for the next few days, or not at all.

I think it will be not at all actually, because I suspect that Sheff United and Ipswich will both do something today that they haven't done all season - draw!

(And I hope I've bolloxed up the chances of it being a draw by talking about it maybe?)
