They are a bit like a survivor of a bomb explosion - waking dazed and bloodied and asking feebly -what the fuck happened ?

They are simply in pain, still adjusting to the fact that the league hasn't actually got all that much better. For all the million that they and team like Derby, Boro , Wolves and Brum have been spending they assume that they are automatically a better team. As we have all stated on so may occasions a team or more than just the sum of it's parts. The bit that amuses me though is this constant 'Pashun will only get you so far' argument. Ignoring that we are so much more than this. Under Wilder and Knill we are an: incredibly well organised, drilled team, with quality players, who play fantastic football at times. This is not because of 'Pashun', but because every man knows his role, and also fully understands how his team mates are thinking and have read what they are going to do, and then have the quality to pull it off. We play some very intricate pass and move football, which requires a deft touch, and superb understanding. Coutts, Fleck and Duffy optimise this style, every time Coutts gets on the ball he knows exactly where the movement will be and has the quality to control the ball, take it away from his man and play a pass with 100% precision. Our wing backs are top drawer and work harder than just about any other player in any other side, Baldock and Enda highlight how good Tufty is at recruiting and developing talent.

Will we stay in the top 6? Probably not. But will we keep playing, fluid, attacking exciting football? Damn right we will, and we'll upset plenty of team along the way. Sure at some point we'll travel away to a top side and take a hammering, but we'll bounce straight back and tear someone else apart.

They've just got look at our dominance last season. CW built a Championship side to play in league One.
The team is full of experienced Championship players.
I must admit I expected a lot more from the teams we've played so far.

Comment on their forum made me laugh “they will drop off in December when they have 6 games”...can someone remind me of how many games we played last month and how many points we took from those. Tossers.

I didn't know we had six games in December. .they must be on our forum all the time worrying about us. .sad fkrs !

Seems we are being written off again by pigs, although some are running scared of meeting us in a play off final.
don't you just love em hahahaha

The top 2 after 11 games last season were Huddersfield and either Brighton or Newcastle. That pig doesn’t know a thing. He’s full of wishful thinking.

Same as the Wednesday bastard who claimed ‘the top 7 won’t be the same teams at the end’. The top 3 after 11 games all went up and 3 of the bottom 4 were relegated.

What you have to remember is that some of them are very, very embarrassed at the moment. They spouted so much in pre season about how shit we would be that they're confused and fragile right now.

Our lass is a Wendy bastard (doesn’t go and doesn’t watch when they’re on sky but ‘used to have a season ticket. Tell a lie, she went to the PO final am Palace at home when they went down), and she is hurting. Reeling, even.

I was sat upstairs other day whilst she was in shower. I stuck the match on (taped it) and got - with a scowl - “what you put this on for?!”

TRIGGERED!!!!!

Edit: just noticed this pearler... “pigs played for 75 mins with Wolves down to 10 men. Against us I would say that we gifted them the win with individual errors and bottling it at 2-2.”

So a blatant red card is our fault? And we were ‘gifted the win’? Fuck off for fucks sake

This type of comment from the complimentary once I've met.
"Yeah you deserved it but I'd be worried about winter and your strength in depth whe the injuries strike".
So they think they know about us and our squad. They know fuck all and that is what they are worried about. They want to know but cannot bare the fact that would mean actually reading about how spectacular we are compared to them.
Take the 23 year old Van Akan. Not one of us would swap any of our £1.50 CBs for the £4000000 lad and the fact that grates so much with them really hurts them.

Apparently - there's strong opinion (and actual recruitment policy in some cases) that bringing in central defenders from the Dutch league is an absolute No-No. Don't ask me for my source - confidential.
It's nothing to do with being able on the ball, but everything to do with ability (or lack of) to deal with pace and physicality. However, nothing was mentioned about the lack of ability to deal with little guys with two great feet and a sharp turn and shot. Maybe that needs to be added as another "Check-Box" on the assessment forms.

That wouldn't surprise me, the Dutch team I watched last night were fucking rubbish, god knows what happened to the Dutch team of old, Cruyff will be turning in his grave. I think they've gone soft as a nation more than anything else and this reflects in their football.

I think that's why Van Dyke had to go to Celtic first before getting a look in. And he's a big unit. When you consider Higdon did quite well in the Eridivisie it seems quite apparent that the standard of defending isn't great.

The Van Aken fiasco is one of the funniest elements of this whole thing.

They decided after 1 match that he was a fabulous signing, 'possibly the best piece of transfer business done by any club in the league' was one of the nuggets I recall seeing.

Then the ginger maestro, Clarke et al made him look like he played pissed, he subsequently has another mare v Birmingham and all of a sudden he is struggling to adapt to the English game, a liability etc and now they want Loovens back. The same guy they branded as too slow and not good enough for a promotion push.

You couldn't make it up.

You don't have to make anything up where the pigs are concerned.

They signed him as a 'quality passer' from a centre back position and including my piggy mate they were all raving about him. To forget the primary roll of a player and concentrate on something else is laughable when signing a player.

Let's be honest that's not unique to them. After 1 game we were getting t-shirts made up for Sammon!:eek::eek:
