A lot seem to be saying we will finish above them to be fair.

Don't understand these "don't have the squad " comments when we've just beat them at their ground without our two first choice strikers, our first choice right back and who will eventually be our first choice keeper .

We have excellent strength in depth in that in almost every position, our back up player is almost as good as the player he will be replacing. The only area where this isn't true is midfield as I don't think anyone could genuinely replace Coutts and Fleck long term.

Roy this is what I can't understand with em either, so much up their own arses it's unreal .

because they've still got it in their heads that money wins games, not too mention we've used most of our league 1 players this season and are in 3rd while they have spunked money once more and are lower down the table they don't have the brainpower to understand the truth we are better than them

I expect us to push the boat out a bit more in January if there seems to be no danger of us going down too .

Their opinion means less than nothing. They are after all, the least knowledgable fans in all of football.

Porktalk is little more than a bunch of clueless cunts trying to convince each other (and more so, themselves) that their club is in any way relevant, that they are destined for good things. Wrong on both counts.

The thing that should always be remembered about Wednesdayites is that they don't support SWFC because of an innate, ingrained sense of devotion. They're merely investing their time and effort into the ever distant possibility that they may see some success, and therefore feel a vicarious sense of achievement as they look away from the computer screen and gaze upon their fat wives and shit kids.

This permanent state of delusion and desperate hope will last only until they lay on their deathbed, and the realisation hits that they spent their lives wandering around without a clue, following a club without a soul, looking for glory without a chance.

Then, now and always: Fuck the grunters.

If they dont get auto they will piss the play off final.......look, it says so here!....

Nobody will want to play us in the final...I’d take any opposition this season. We’d win the final this season.

First season back in the Champ, a chance to smash t’pigs at Wembley to get in Prem...ok, I’d, tek that.
UTB!

This below is the reality of how much they understand about us:

"The slimy two hats have had their giddy gallop.

No major injuries, suspensions,
niggles"

What part of 5 strikers out injured, Stearman out injured, Moore out injured and Evans playing at 60% fit means we have no major injuries or niggles?

HOW WRONG CAN ANYONE BE? Deluded, ignorant stains on Sheffield.

I notice they've lowered their horizons from automatic to playoffs.

Comment on their forum made me laugh “they will drop off in December when they have 6 games”...can someone remind me of how many games we played last month and how many points we took from those. Tossers.
We had six games last December too and went top of the League.

Heard similar comments tother day,"Your squad is a bit thin" "Wilder seemed bitter after the game" "Basham's a shit player" and one or two other jaw dropping observations. Bless em, think they are still in pain:D

Might take issue with "bless". Can think of something better.

That last paragraph reads like a cracking logline from a blockbuster.Nice one TD

I think you've understated it Roy. They are suffering from deep psychological trauma and it can't be cured until they can Lord it over us again at some time in the distant future.
My best pals are Owls. We go on holiday together etc, but they are unable to actually speak to me about the current situation. Feel very sorry for em in a strange way !

They never closed Middlewood Hospital did they, just renamed it Hillsborough Stadium

To be fair to most of the Wednesdayites i know in person, they all seem fairly magnamious about our Derby Day win saying we was the better side on the day, and fair play to us we was.

I've spoken to one today for the first time since Derby Day, and he is one of the more ardent ones who doesn't seem to take defeat well, and he came out with the best comment I've heard from one since DD, and one that sums up the state pretty well.

"I tell you something, you was the better team on the day, you wanted it more and i think people don't realise how good your side is and you will do well this season. I hope Wednesday finish above United because it means we will have done well and made the play offs at least, and having both sides doing well will be great for Sheffield football", i couldn't disagree with much of that apart from the obvious bit about them finishing above us"

I don't think Owlstalk is particularly representative of how they are thinking, as football forums, phone ins, and social media is prone to wild grandstanding.

Bollocks!
That's not magnanimity.
That the stock response in their attempt to erase the Bouncing Day Massacre from the argument.

This shite about it being "Great to have both Sheffield Clubs up there" is their attempt to deflect away from all the pre season La Liga propaganda and the presumption that we would really struggle in the championship.

They've had five years to sort their dominance.
FIVE FUCKING YEARS!

Rub the fucker in.
