Just received this through the post.

Sitting where I do, I could perhaps point out that Mr Warnock taught me all those naughty words and Mr Wilder continues the education ;)

I think perhaps the delicate souls would be more suited to the Family Stand rather than next to the tunnel with the standard of referees we get...

Seems strange that they have sent these out to season ticket holders post Norwich.
I bet the Norwich contingent in the directors box complained - like they probably tried to get Coutts banned too.

If anyone should be blamed for the colourful language on that day then it is the cynical, chesting twats in yellow and the god awful dickhead ref who let them get away with it.

Twats.

Edit I see it says fellow ticket holders. Not apologising to Norwich though they're still twats. As are the fans who complain about swearing outside of the family stand.

We literally have an entire stand dedicated for these soft types. Yet instead of using an once of common sense & buying a ticket there, they prefer to complain to the club about fellow supporters language and behaviour.

I genuinely wonder how some people function in day to day life...

I thought it curious that those who swear "may be relocated". To where? If the South Stand isn't an "adult" stand, where is?

For what it's worth, I hope Ed Balls and Delia heard me. Ditto the fourth official and useless tosspot linesman.

It’s a weird letter, doesn’t make any sense.
I’ve a feeling there’s something else behind this.

If anyone is particularly sensitive or has kids then go in the purpose built “FAMILY STAND”.
There are enough empty seats on there, so simply ask for a transfer.

It’s hardly rocket science.

Got the same letter yesterday, was quite concerned when first reading as i thought they might have pulled me up on something which i did at hillsborough on sunday...

Must be a mass letter to everyone sitting behind the dugouts because i didn't even attend the Norwich game

Oh here we go. The prospect of us getting more and more media attention leads to this! Yeah Jurgen from Morten Hall:D (made up name) I wonder why you have been tasked with this? This is not a safety issue. It is a commercial issue and it stinks of the club forgetting who has stuck by them all these years and getting ready, as we become more saleable for the Champagne and prawn sandwich brigade.

I wonder if SWFC will send a similar letter to their season ticket holders given that three and a half sides of their stadium on Sunday were consistently and repetitively using the word “fucking” for a whole minute and a half at the same time as doing some bouncing.

Not to mention the foul abuse being given by their fans to the Sheffield United team and officials when they arrived at the stadium?

I was away for the Norwich game, and now I'm back I get a naughty step letter.

I don't know, I can't leave you lot alone for a minute without you getting into trouble!

Does it mean that if I sing the Bouncing Song tonight to take the piss out of the Wendies I will be banished from my beloved seat near Sir Tufty to the back of the Kop for life?

Fuck it - The Magic is Back and I'm going to enjoy it.

Tell em to bollocks! Imagine if they tried asking you to stop effin and jeffin 20+ years ago?

Have you checked with Danny whether publishing this photo breaches copyright law?;)

Further Linz Can we all who think this is out of order suggest to the club that when they sell tickets (either season tickets or day tickets) the ticket office point out to the ALL buyers there is a possibility they may hear said language and suggest they point out areas they are less likely to hear it.

There was a bit of a set-to on the left hand side behind the away dugout v. Norwich but nothing out of the ordinary.

I do hope is is them that complained. They were a mardy set of twats and this would just be the icing on the cake.

Gotta laugh.
Let’s be right, foul and abusive language is a criminal offence, but for some reason deemed acceptable at the football most of the time. In other words, old plod don’t act on it.
I agree with the club, in that families with young kids should be able to attend a game without having to expose their children to some of the language you hear at the game.
If those parents feel that they don’t want their kids exposed to it that is their right as parents, in the same way I have seen plenty of families at games where the parents are the ones shouting verbal abuse....I don’t agree with that personally but that’s the way they bring up their kids so who are we to tell them to stop it.

So the club either Police it and issue penalties to stop it, or they think of a better way to resolve the issue. They are not saying any fans identified will be prosecuted....when in reality they could. But they are saying they will be moved to another area where the folk surrounding them are less likely to be offended.

As it is, IMHO anyone who knows they are inclined to shout offensive language should be aware of it and put themselves in a place they aren’t going to cause offence. The club has to think about the future, and we need the fans to come to the club and support the team, and help grow the fan base.
If those families decide not to come due to the actions of a few then that is bad news for the club.

Anyone who's been anywhere near the family stand, will testify that the air is red with swearing and unkind words. Anyone with an ounce of passion about the team they follow, will become more than a little heated at the antics of the yellow bellies and the variety of tits parading as officials.
It's ludicrous to expect such restraint from the other three sides of the ground.
Do those in authority really want polite applause and criesof'play up Blades', for every goal?
Polite applause for the goals of our opponents?
Football ⚽ is getting more and more sanitised, all this politeness and decorum being urged upon us all while, paradoxically, a bottle thrown, eg by a Derby fan at Billy Sharp, are seemingly not detected at the gate. Something is rotten here. Was the man who threw a bottle at Gunn, caught? The lads punching Norwich fans outside the ground.
What's being done?
Have these folks been caught yet?
Leave passionate fans alone.
Catch those using violence please. Strange how so much more rage existed about Billy Sharp receiving abuse from a Derby fan about the death of his son, than for example, a bottle being thrown at the same payer.

I dont see it as that.
Officials of opposing clubs should not be verbally abused in the stand. They are in the home stand as guests of our club and should be treated with respect, as ours should at opposing stadia.
The players and manager of opponents are also professionals, and although I accept they will expect some grief from opposing fans there is a point where it may be considered too much.

That’s my opinion anyway.

As for new owners, there may be some new investment heading our way as Km and the family step aside and we as fans should be helping that, not making it harder by exposing his guests, or the clubs guests to abuse.
I think it’s a fair letter that has just advised an area of their obligations, without targeting the individuals responsible. But also warni g them that in future anyone who over steps the mark will be dealt with.

Before last season, a bit of pantomime booing of the referee at half time was often the only thing worth standing up for.

I've been in the same seat for seventeen years and haven't noticed it any better or worse this season. But I get the feeling it's the club laying the groundwork for shifting longstanding season ticket holders from the prime seats they've occupied for years to give the whole area over to corporate. It was threatened a few years back.

Like erm.. not the Family Stand?

And the South stand it would now seem too.
The family stand demands kids be there....there are people who are adults that don’t want to hear that language too. And perhaps the club is suggesting that areas where opposing officials are situated is an area where more decorum is expected.
Perhaps the solution is to make the central third of the south stand a family area? Add the players families in there too.

Make Kop and John Street the free for all areas.

They've earmarked you a seat on the Kop behind a support piller, you naughty girl!

Its all your own fault. We're all scum. Even you posh chaps sat between the Directors Box and the Dugouts.

I think I saw Linz trying to punch Delia in the kidneys.

Inspector Plod has been informed so expect some kettling in the Ladies Powder Room.

Thats them animals in the South Stand you can hear ................ appalling behaviour ..............

us in the Family Stand are just little pussycats
